Not in this case though. You're talking a $600+ order, so they want the old one back.

Sorry to hear that. They will be paying for the return shipping though right?

At least you got that going for you, but it's basically a needless inconvenience.

i was going to order a 2tb 980 pro... but i opted out since i don't even use the 1tb i have already and the performance difference between the 2 are nill, instead favouring to go with a 1tb 980 pro and 4tb 870 evo... though i would LOVE if samsung would just bloody well drop a 4tb 970 or even just a 980 "evo"

I was thinking of buying a 4TB 870 Evo SATA for storage too, but I'm thinking I'll save up for a 4TB NVMe drive instead. Maybe a Sabrent Rocket Q or a PNY CS2130.

Personally, I don't trust PNY and don't think you can compare them to Sabrent, who in digital photography circles are well known and trusted.

no a fan boy would make outlandish claims and buy bad products from a company regardless of the situation. IF samsung makes something terrible, you can be sure i'd drop them in a heartbeat.

I was also considering both the Corsair MP400 or MP600 (QLC model). My max is $1000 total. The 4 I've mention sit below the $800 CAN range.

Personally I wouldn't go Corsair either, they tend to have iffy controllers on those drives (don't know if they've fixed them). I would stick to Sabrent, got a buddy that swears by them, none have ever failed on him.

Plus he owns two of the 4TB ones.

For 2.5" SATA drives here in Greece I can find 4TB drives (Samsung) from 357 euros and up.
For M.2 PCI Express (Corsair) from 542 euros and up.

Considering ADATA at all? I have two of their NVME drives for a couple of years now and I am 100% satisfied with them so far. As long as I have at least Windows 10 that is as anything before that there are issues (software and speed).
The price of their drives is usually very good too.

The 2 dozen or so ADATA ssds i've had to deal with have had nothing but problems and high failure rates. if it isn't flatout failures, it's been outright loss of data for no damn good reason at all.

also.... no one is a pro unless they've handled transparent cards, specially for magic tricks.

    LOL, I'm no pro.

    IKR? :D

Edit: Also, the first few I bought were to never be opened, most of these I'm going to actually use.
