Straight up, I'm not a fan of drives with Phison controllers. I've seen too many articles in which these drives tend to slow down after a few weeks of normal every day use. It's one of the reasons why I went with Samsung in the first place as my primary drive. Anyways.. I'm on the fence with it. I'd rather have the speed of NVMe, but the cost is just too high. That leads me right back to a cheaper but slower NVMe (which I'm fine with), or SATA, which is only a couple hundred less, but I can pick up a Samsung SATA drive that is reliable.
