They are wooden. Lacquered wood.
And thanks, I do like the Sakura Tree petals on them.
Since I am completely clueless: are those display pieces, or single use items, or can they actually be used and cleaned?
Oh, do you know how to use chop sticks per chance?
They are re-usable and cleanable, and they are actually travel ones with textured tips for easy gripping of food. They come with as you can see a case, but you have to make sure they are completely dry before you store them inside and put them away.
So i've had this for just over a week now:
It's a QN85A 75" 4k 120hz VRR HDR display with an advertised maximum 1500 nits due to the miniLED backlighting and copious zones. I can definitely say when shit gets bright, it's bright.
Prior to that a little over a year ago i had gotten the Q80T 65".
In terms of viewing pleasure, the QN85A definitely looks insanely awesome for movies and hdr content. However i'm hoping some firmware updates arrive to fix some of the, shall we say, lesser than compared to the Q80T.
I was sitting on the fence as to if i should go with a year old Q80T 75" or make the leap to QN85A... and while i don't regret it, i would definitely have to say anyone in the market for a gaming display should definitely get the Q80T... it's simply cannot be beat.
The biggest difference between the 2 is that the QN85A uses an IPS panel which gives you PERFECT viewing angles... no contest. Where as the Q80T uses a PVA panel which simply cannot be beat in terms of it's pitch blacks and vibrant colours and such, it's also just so much better for gaming.
The QN85A i find in certain senarios seems to "blur" noticably more even though it's hitting 120hz/120fps. It's not horrible, but after sitting in front of a 65" at about 3ft... and then immediately in front of this 75", the size didn't change anything in that regard, it's just very noticable how good the PVA panels are.
The QN85A 85" is a PVA panel, sadly i didn't have another $2000 to blow for that extra 10 inches. The only reason i upgraded to a larger panel is that i had a sale for the 65".
Now if i can sell this QN85A panel to someone, i'll definitely pick up the Q80T if it's still available, OR perhaps see if i can get the 85 QN85A alternatively.
I suppose i should mention... The QN85A sells for $4300 CAD, currently on sale for $3900-3999 depending on where you go. I can currently sell this $3000 as a one time offer, otherwise it's $3400. The 65" was $2900, though i could sell it for $2400
Pre-ordered this pin off the Bungie store (the Everyone can play collectible pin, it supports people with disabilities):
And this pin (the Be heard collectible pin):
Both pins came with a nice emblem which I'm currently using in Destiny 2, I have a very rare emblem for my Hunter so I didn't get a third. Pity since with the new Forza Horizon 5 coming out soon I won't be giving a lot of attention to Destiny 2 potentially.
Gearing up to play on the 4th/5th. Got the final piece of the puzzle, the Forza Horizon 5 treasure map:
Control Ultimate Edition (from GOG):
And Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration (from Epic Games):
I dunno, Cal. If you don't have it, and get it, it's technically new stuff.
BUT.. Twitch Prime freebies.. ehhhh... dunno...
I pay for the service don't I?
Plus I already own both games, so yeah getting these editions of them that come with more stuff is rather nice.
(I have the regular editions of both games I believe)
I don't know how exactly Epic works, but if you get a game from GOG, it's not like they can force you to stop playing it or having it. DRM-free and all.
Epic is like Steam.
Meaning they are both eSteamic problems. Err.. systemic...
For the PC.
Dude... nice nice but you should totally -totally- be playing Forza Horizon 5.
No i am not interested yet, Maybe if it becomes much cheaper then maybe..
Also for the PC, Pre-ordered a little while ago. Pre-Load begins 6PM GMT today.
just another addition to my collection...
I really don't like the covers from the last 20 or so years. It's like someone went with a sandpaper on the bodies and faces and then poured some oil on top.
As for the movie, I haven' watched any of them apart from parts of the 1st one, so I have no comment. If you bought it you know you like it, so nice, and enjoy! Some good talent and skill among them.
I finally decided to unbox and use the optical drive I bought...ages ago.
I bought it because I didn't want to damage from usage the internal drive I have which is a bluray recorder.
I plan on doing A LOT of ripping of my audio CDs to FLAC.
Talking about 100s and 100s and etc of CDs.
and I will start with these.
