I have a radeon 9500 pro and I think something might be wrong with it. I was playing GTA today and it minimized and I got a vpu recovery error. I said okay and contiuned playing the game. Later today I tried playing COD 2 and it did not seem to run as good as had been running. I tested with 3dmark01 and my score dropped from 132xx to 128xx. My nature score went down 23 points. Uninstalled drivers and got the same results. What could this be?

I have the newest ati drivers.

GTA is prone to VPU-recover on ATI cards, not just from certain drivers. It's engine issues most of the time.

As to your drop - make sure you use DriverCleaner Pro when going one version back to clean out new files that may not be overwritten by the older ones by default.
