I`ve found some interesting article and I wanna share it with you and hear your thoughts about that project. The world`s first space hotel is slated to open in 2027 . Orbital Assembly Corporation, the group behind Voyager Station, has announced plans to begin building the hotel in low Earth orbit in 2025. The hotel will be able to accomodate 400 people and it will have a cinema, gyms, health spa, reastaurants, libraries and more stuff https://hypebeast.com/2021/3/orbita...stagram&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=ig_bio

    It is interesting definitely.

With me it is like this: I love these things, space travel, new technology , moon, Mars landing etc. and I would love to go BUT I am old and now I am much more scared of things.... yes, it happens. :)

It seems to me that this project is rather interesting. But there are some scientific problems that are needed to be solved before this project starts building. Also, as for me I don`t see any necessity of this space hotel. Just imagine how much it would cost to build it. I assume we have more important stuff in space exploration. ( not taking into consideration issues we have on Earth )

Yes, I agree, the space hotel might be just a too fancy idea, definitely would not book a room there with my budget . ;)

BUT.... you never know, people do things that are not needed at all so....

In addition to my answer above, I wanna say that I am not the specialist in the area of building such things but still I assume that it`s rather expensive thing to build and as for me it`s completely needless and useless. On the Earth`s orbit we already have a lot of space junk which became the issue for space companies. But who knows?) May be in 5 years this project of space hotel will not sound so unrealistic)

In my opinion it might happen as even now you can buy ticket for space flight, do not remember where but I have heard. People with a lot of money, bored and with kind of curious mind would book a room for sure.
    We will see. :)

Yeah, but the project of space hotel doesn`t sound realistic.
The question is how they are going to solve artificial gravity issue. The artificial gravity being an essential component of the end-design marketed here, there won't be any significant source of profits prior to its full achievement. This does not work in the Space industry where contingency is inherent to this market. So I guess some reach people need to delay their vacations in space hotel untill all these issues be solved.

I think that artificial gravity might be implemented like in sci-fi movies, by part of the design rotating but it would definitely be a challenge to make it working properly.
If diameter was too small, people would get sick, with big diameter technological issues will be bigger.

On the other hand, many rich people would probably want to "taste" lack of gravity as well.
    Would it be comfortable?
    No, definitely not.
I have read book about being in space , actually living in space and it is not like floating in the dreams, it is a PITA . in all aspects of it. :D

Actually they didn`t tell anything how they would solove that issue. I quess it`s a heard stuff to figure out and make it working especially in space. This aricle maybe only a sounds great but if to have a look at science, we can see that it`s impossible to do now. However, maybe I am wrong

I think it is quite possible even now and definitely in few years technologically but very expensive for sure (we know "normal" people will not go there, just rich and adventurous ones)

BUT if they not figure out the how to get even a little gravity it will not be very pleasant stay.... time will show .

I am convinced that this is less important stuff to do concerning space exploration department. This department has a lot of stuff that needs to be solved in further possibility discover something new in space. Yes, this is an interesting project to do but lets not forget some more important issues which we still need to solve.

Yeah, we need to solve this Global Warming issue first!

I don`t know if it`s possible to solve global warming issue at all. The temperature of Earth is getting higher and higher and there is nothing we can do we that issue. However, I guess with the usage of some technology we can save somehow our environment

Yeah, some technologies can be used to lessen environmental issues but many are contributing to the damage thus making it hard to solve the problem. However, it is still possible.

Kessler syndrome is another issue to be solved because it endangers the space hotel, space stations, and other useful objects orbiting the Earth.

Yeah, you are right. Space debris is rather important issue nowadays.
Actually, it's not dangerous for humans on Earth but as I have already mentioned it's rather dangerous for spacecraft and for space companies who's spacecraft can collide and be damaged by space junk and whole mission can be under threat.

I guess it woud be better to invest money in the projects and space missions that can solve this issue with space junk rather than in useles space hotel.
I`ve read about one of these mission and it`s called ‘The Claw’, which represents the first step towards a clean space environment by being the first space debris removal dedicated mission. You can read more оn this page

Two months ago, in March, Astroscale launched a spacecraft that'll deorbit space debris from LEO. This project is called ELSA-d, and I suppose it will turn out to be rather effective. I have high hopes for it.

Let's hope for the best. I guess a lot of space projects related to cleaning the orbit will be launched sooner or later. This space junk cause a lot of problems for space companies all around the globe
