"SCI FI Channel confirmed that it will not renew its record-breaking original series Stargate SG-1 for another season, but will pick up its spinoff series Stargate Atlantis for a fourth year. SG-1 aired its 200th episode on Aug. 18, and the SF series is the longest-running SF show on American television" More Here Damn it.
do you guys remeber farscape that show was great. i never fell in with SG-1 but dont mind the occasional marathon.
Farscape was AWESOME!! Damn i hated them when they cancelled it, but atleast after much work from fangroups, the peacekeeper wars was released as an ending.
I think all the latest science fictions shows just suck... sorry, I watched Interprise to see the one girl and one girl only... and then Voyager for 7 of 9.
it's old, thier beatng a dead horse, the cast chage to the main chartiers of far scape (a cenceled show) should of ben a dead give away this was comeing...
Actually, this is old news guys (originally announced Aug.21). Sucks, to be sure, but 10 years is a long time for a show, even more so for a SCI-FI one. The last few years have been hard for the show, not only for ratings, but cuz the show was running on a per year contract as it was. For the fans it was always, "This could be the series finale I'm watching." the last few years. This was even going through the writers minds as every season they were writing a potential series finale episode. I, for one, am glad it lasted as long as it did. It's one of a handful of shows I actually turn my TV on to watch, and I'll miss it.
dude not all new scifi shows suck. Battlestar Galactica...thats like the only reason I turned on the TV last year. Then of course when Venture Bros got back there was that but still... BSG all the way.
here here - GREAT show... I was a 'johny come lately' because of its name and the bad memory of the 80's series.... and starbuck as a female now.... But man, was I wrong to make that assumption...

I kinda figured this one was coming. I think they wrote themselves into trouble, they killed off their ultimate evil, and then just invented a new enemy, and I think they have gotten too lax in their writing, everything seems to easy and simple now. But I do think they're having more fun with it which is good. But I will be sad to see it go... I hope they at least give it a decent end..
