Like these programs that change ur theme etc.

Was wondering what you all prefer?

StyleXP 3.0 was just released, i use that and am happy

I like it because it uses very little resources, and you dont even have to have it running

I've never tried windowblinds, but a wondering if there are any improvements over stylexp

I know of a few other programs

Litestep (destroyed an old computer, will never use again lol)
objectdock plus made by same peeps as windowblinds

    Interested in hearing comments

I use Window Blinds.. I love the skins people make on it. Deskmod.com used to be the website that I got it all off of, but that has been Deskmod "Lite" for such a long damn time now I've given up hope of it ever coming back. Currently using the Blackcomb skin and Window Blinds is taking up 1mb of resources, so I'm all happy with WB :).

I have just moved across from Windowsblinds toi StyleXP, I have to say that Style XP is going to stay on my OS for a while. Themes are just as good as Windowsblinds, but the thing that I like best is the option to change the boot screen, logon screen and icons without installing seperate applications like Stardock (windowsblinds).

    UXTheme.dll hack or StyleXP 3.0.

Since making my Unattended DVD, I've recently been diving deeper into the registry and such. Now with the knowledge of how to change icons and themes on the registry level, I no longer need to use StyleXP. I don't change themes or layouts often so if I need to I'll install it. Otherwise, I'll be using the UXTheme.dll hack on my next re-install.

it runs nice and quick. be sure you run it in Shell mode and not overlay mode. (Shell mode will load it instead of explorer completely, as opposed to just masking explorer)...it'll run better that way

as above, stylexp has good features along with being very 'lite' as far as using resources goes.

Windowblinds was a recourse hog when I tried it a few months ago- Akk! I hated it.

I have been using StyleXP for a long time, it works great..

i hated windows blinds. didn't mind styleXP, but patching the UXtheme file is by far the best. No extra resources taken, or don't have a longer startup time while style xp loads. dont have to open any extra program to change themes, etc.
