    Sue crazy America

    Some recent cases:

Drunk and passed out on the snow banks, some one driveing by saw him and called
the police He was awarded 850K from the property owner

Husbands sues cheating wife over broken heart 150K warded to him.

A woman moved into with a pet in an apartment that doesn't allow pets sued and won
300K for not being allowed to have a pet on discrimination. Because they made an exception allowed it for the blind! But not her (she is not blind). (handycap accesabilty and exptions wich is required by law in most places)!

54 year old man who's obese, who smoked, drank and ate poorly had diabetes died of a heart attack, family sued doctor for not preventing his heart attack 3 million

Woman trips over her own son in store! Sues and wins 1 million dollars!

Some people driving in a SUV and where drunk driving, speeding and not wearing their seat belts down a country road went of the road and the SUV turned over and they where thrown threw the windshield. They sued and won millions.

So much that sites like: http://www.stellaawards.com/ are poping up! with listings of cases
read this stuff it's totally insane! The sad thing is it true! Robbers getting injured braking in,
or while robbing someone house and suing and winging hundreds of thousands! Some
    totally nuts stuff.

Why are we so sue crazy and what can we possably do about it??? This is nutz! This
is why many things cost so much, including healthcare and companies refuse to make
vaccines for flu shots etc... Refuse because the risk of lawsuits it to high. Companies are scared stiff etc...

i just read a story this morning that a women is sueing a hardware store, because a bird attacked her in the store. shes sueing on the grounds of... "Nichols claims the bird caused injuries to her head, brain, neck, muscles, bones, nerves, discs, ligaments, as well leading to the loss of neurological functions and cognitive skills."

if she can get away with that, then damn it, im sueing my school for when i got hit with a dodgeball ball. i can blame my less then steller GPA on the mental and physical distress being hit with the dodgeball caused, and sue them for causing said problems.

They're not crazy. They're just greedy. What's crazy is the judicial system that makes this possible.

I think its not only greed but also people in this country have the attitude that everything that happens to them if its bad is somebody else's fault. Weve become a nation of victims. I think we should adopt the way Canadians handle lawsuits. Canadians correct me if I'm wrong but don't people who sue in Canada have to put down a rather large deposit before sueing.

It's crazy but what can we do?

The ones I listed are from the recent news, that site however list a lot of older cases that I’ve herd of over the years so I can vouch for some of them on that site being legit

"Well did you know when you were famous you could kill your wife
And there's no such thing as 25 to life
As long as you've got the cash, to pay for Cochran"

Some of that stuff is barely credible... I mean, COME ON!!! Only in the US is that sorta stuff possible... :p Well at least not here taht ain't possible. No one here can even win a lawsuit without LOTSA condoning evidence. I wish I could do some of those lawsuits and win a few easy millions and live well... Oh well... People really gotta stop abusing thje nice american system!

Want to know what really screwed up too?

on the low end you can get 3-5 years for killing a human!
but you can get up to 20 for killing an animal :hmm:

i herd of cases a guy doing 3 years for stealing one of these little 50 cent bags of potato chips becouse he had past priors for shoplifting.

then you have cases like oj :D

something needs to be done thats for sure but the question is "what"
