This guide covers just about everything. Get it here. http://www.tweaktown.com/document.php?dType=guide&dId=411
gfh They don't really give you any information, just a lot of "links to other guides" and general info like "make sure you clean install windows." Tweak3d.net still has the best quides out there.
Yeah, I agree that most of that guide is common knowledge. I guess some people wouldn't know to keep everything up to date, but I think most users would benefit more from the OS guides that have been around for a long time and that are subsequently linked to in the article.
One more thing... ...what is "common knowledge" for most of the regulars here would be "super tweaks" most other places.
No my friend its not common knowledge to about 60% of thge gaming community. Just looking in most of the game support forums you can see this from the very silly questions asked. I could ask 10 gamers (not hard core) and 4 wont even know how to setup their card through display settings. Or be running the original drivers that came with the vidcard etc. One more thing: "KNOWLEDGE IS NEVER USELESS AND YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH OF IT"
Well said Greekrage. I posted the guide for the average gamer knowing full well that many of our members would already know what it contained. It's quite simple, if you already know the tips then disregard it but if you don't (like myself) then it is quite useful.
Im not sure why but i cant view any thing from tweaktown, it just sits their not doing anything when i try to visit it. Does anyone have any idea why this is? i dont think my isp would block a tweaking site but you never know
