The emerging space technology In the modern world, science and technology are fast-growing things, and as we can see a lot of new space technologies are about to be produced or invented. Which one do you expect the most and which one do you think might be the most useful for humans or for space exploration?
A technology that'll help us clean LEO. I recently visited a Stuff in Space website and was amazed after seeing how many satellites and dead satellites are there now. I'm a big fan of space exploration and don't want it to stop; that's why we need to address this problem asap.
Yeah, that`s a good point. Space debris became an issue nowadays. I have already mentioned in another thread that it`s rather dangerous stuff for spacecrafts that can collide with space junk and be seriously damaged
Well, like humans do, we just keep polluting until the problem bites us in the ass. Here is what Captain Planet has to say on the matter:
In another thread on this forum, we have already mentioned some of the ``cleaning`` space missions that are supposed to clean Earth`s orbit from space debris. We cannot stop sending microsatellites in space because they are doing very important work
I visited this website once. I am staggered by the fact how many objects are in space now in the orbit of Earth. We need to solve this space debris issue in order to prevent further collisions.
And the situation will worsen with each passing day because we continue to launch objects into the Earth's orbit.
I guess that`s impossible to stop launching objects in space. Satellite technology plays an important part in the life of the modern world. We cannot imagine how we gonna live without satellite technology now.
I don't tell you that we need to stop launching satellites and other objects to orbit. We mean that space agencies need to work on the solutions for this problem.
Yeah, you are right. I guess scientists should work on the issue of the short lifespan of microsatellites. I hope that in some time scientists will succeed and solve that issue
I`ve got an interesting piece of information about some space technology innovations related to the space junk issue Skyrora has revealed it had conducted successful trials of a ‘space tug’ which can play a key part in ensuring the UK becomes a world leader in tackling the issue of space junk.
Well, they're gonna have to do it sooner or later. If they want to keep launching satellites and other stuff into the atmosphere.
At least, scientists can make the lifespan of microsatellites longer. By doing that scientists can reduce the number of launches and the number of dead satellites in the orbit of Earth.
It can hardly help us reduce the number of launches since scientists will continue working on new missions and sending them to space.
Yeah, you are right. The number of launches is very high and satellites are sent in space all around the globe. But we cannot reduce the number of launches because satellites are vital for us and for the modern world. The same thing we can say about space exploration missions that are launched rather often.
