OK people. You know what I'm talking about.

The ground rules are simple. Please follow the format presented in this post. Please keep the numbering sequence in tact.

Here are some that I can think of off the top of my head.

    1. "Two footed drivers" are people who obviously drive with one foot over the gas pedal and another foot over the brake pedal. The "tell-tell" sign of this is when said driver is going at or above the speed limit but their brake lights are always going off and on at random moments.

    2. "Turtles in the fast lane" are those drivers who will drive SLOWER than the speed of traffic in the FAST lane. You can't pass them up they're already in the fast lane and the drivers using the slow lane correctly will just get you boxed in

    3. "Slow mergers" are those drivers who will literally take a half mile or more to merge into the next lane.

    4. When merging onto the freeway, a car will not let you merge onto the freeway. instead, they speed up or slow down with you when they CLEARLY have the next lane over completely CLEAR of any traffic!!!

    5. People who make a left or right turn AFTER the light has turned red on them because "they caught it on yellow" holding up the rest of the traffic that is still currently stopped even though their light is now green.

    6. People that stop within an intersection on a street full of traffic instead of at the white/yellow line so that when the lights change they get stuck within as well as block the intersection. Same for people that make left turns in behind traffic that is backed up to the edge of the intersection, and thus end up blocking the intersection when the light changes (in particular the left hand turn lane going in the other direction).

    7. Drivers that DO NOT look to their right (in order to make sure that pedestrians are not crossing in front of them) as they are making their right hand turns.

    8) On the same note, drivers that, when seeing a break in through-traffic, gun the accelerator to make a left hand turn without looking to see if pedestrians are crossing on that side of the intersection. This is made more maddening when drivers try this with very small breaks in through-traffic that have to stop suddenly within the intersection otherwise they will hit said pedestrians, and then cause a traffic jam or even an accident.

    9) People that do not slow down, or even stop while making right/left hand turns while pedestrians are crossing in front of them.

    10) People having their own slalom race across lanes in heavy traffic. They're the ones causing the accidents AND the build up in the first place.

    11) Those morons that think they're more important and drive by a queue of cars at an exit and then try to squeeze themselves in at the front of the queue.

    12) People that haven't learned what the flashers are for. Traffic would run so much smoother if everyone actually used them.

    13) People that USE flashers but not until they start to turn...

    15) Stop signs in a mall parking lot are NOT a suggestion.

    16) In North America we drive on the right side. The same is true of parking lots too!

    17) "No U-Turns Allowed" signs... are not a suggestion. Not even at intersections or highway off ramps.

    18) When making turns, stay in your designated lane (that means your "closest lane"). Do not make a left turn, and drift over to the middle or outer lane. Do not make a right turn, and drift over to the middle or inner lane.... unless it is your intention to hit the car opposite you that is making their right or left turn, that is.

    19) Just because everyone calls you a dumb ass, stupid driver, retard, or an idiot does NOT make you eligible for handicapped parking.

    20) people who come to a stop for any reason (Lights , Crossing etc) and their first instinct is to check their phone then traffic moves and they have not even noticed

    21) People that drive with earphones in their ears so they are COMPLETELY oblivious to what is going on around them; that's what a car stereo was invented for!

    24) When someone goes to back into a parking space, and has their reverse lights lit, this isn't a signal that the gap behind them is for passing.

    25) What do these signs all have in common: Do Not Enter, One Way, No Right or No Left Turns Between XXhr & XXhr, No U Turns, STOP, Exit or Entrance Only, and Left Turn or Right Turn Yield on Green? They mean exactly what they say. Period.

    26) People that either completely ignore the rule or appear to have no idea what they are doing at uncontrolled intersections or 4 ways stops, Right of way in itself gives a hint, yield to your right.

    27) Assholes that use the right turn lane as a "Passing lane" around people in the straight through/left turn lane which creates a MASSIVELY high probability of causing an accident when 2 vehicles making left turns attempt to complete a left turn and getting broadsided by a right turn lane passer.

    28) Gravel/dirt Road (non paved) Center Drivers. Just because it doesn't have a yellow/white/etc line down the center indicating where you should be driving, doesn't give you the right or even remotely makes sense to drive directly down the exact CENTER of the road. Nor does making the claim that the "path is there so I just followed it" make you sound anywhere near intelligent either. These drivers are more likely to die in a roll over due to meeting another vehicle (Which likely is also practicing center road driving non-skills) in which they both play chicken until either they both die in a headon collision (this happens more frequently then anyone would care to admit) OR at the last second one or both make a feeble attempt to get on the proper side of the road at which they experience loose gravel causing their vehicle to respond and ride in a way they aren't used to resulting in them usually panicking, overcorrecting. End result is usually a bad experience at best, or dead due to rolling.

    29) In relation to the above. A Large farm implement 10's if not 100's of times your size and weight, regardless of how long you try to remain on the center of the road, will not take the ditch to avoid a collision with you, we'll simple keep to our side and proceed to drive over you like a common vehicle over a pop/soda can. It's not our fault if you apparently wish to commit suicide. And really, you're very unlikely to cause us much or ANY damage at all.

    30) People that drive on any roads, traveling WELL below the speed limit (related to the fast/passing lane but not exact). If the speed limit is 80km/h (50mph) and you are traveling 15-40km/h (10-25mph), without your hazards and down the center of the road, you deserve to die in a car fire as slowly and as painfully as possible.

    31) Related to 30... If you are driving you should be completely aware of your surroundings including vehicles coming up behind you. If you are traveling extremely slow (and hopefully with hazards), get off the center of the road and onto your side. Anyone that happens to live in the area or just so happens to know how to drive properly is probably why they are catching up to you if the reason you are driving slow is due to your fear of gravel/dirt roads. They won't have a problem passing you even if you remain in the middle, likely causing you a heart attack as they pass within an inch of side swiping your vehicle. If the heart attack doesn't cause you to swerve and potentially roll/hit the ditch or die, the overall shock of another vehicle coming so close and passing you at likely 3x the speed you are traveling may in another manner.

    32) People that attempt to cause another driver to panic or slow down due to thinking they are "THE LAW". If an oncoming vehicle is on their side of the road, but appears to be traveling WAY over the speed limit, don't purposely cross into their lane to cause them to hit the breaks. It's counter productive to take on someone that is clearly already taking a chance, some will slow down a bit initially but there are a few that will only speed up out of spite for your arrogance. It is also significantly more counter productive if the people that speed up and take your challenge seriously happen to be driving a vehicle that is twice your size, and weight and built significantly better mostly guaranteeing their survival while guaranteeing your death.

    33) Road rage should be something you should deal with before you get out of your car with a crowbar, baseball bat, or other blunt/dangerous object and threaten a man that happens to be driving 3 tons of steel, no matter how hard you swing that light weapon you decided to get out of the vehicle with, the opposing vehicle is still going to be able to drive over you in retaliation as the driver of the car you intend to hurt has no real reason to jump out of the one place they are currently the safest place to be, unarmed, in such a case.

    34) Headlights, even if it's daytime, make a point of making sure they are on (most older vehicles) Or at least daytime driving lights. It WILL save pain and suffering and death.... Doesn't matter how much you think your vehicle should be easily seen by others, those lights make a world of difference.

    35) You look pathetic if have a spare tire and currently have a flat but remain on the side of the road (or in some cases ON the road rather than pulled off) if you are just standing/sitting around waiting for someone to stop and give you a hand for a task that is so incredibly easy to complete yourself.

    36) If you don't know how to pop the hood of your vehicle, find the oil dipstick, or do basic checks/maintence on your car at the lowest level... you shouldn't be driving.

I see this almost daily, and don't even drive myself:

Driver decides to turn at an upcoming intersection, break, then remember to signal just about as they start the actual turning maneuver.

Or, driver about make a turn decides to completely forgo the signaling simply because he(mostly a he) didn't notice any other traffic nearby at the moment. A classic case of behind-the-wheel god complex.

    38) When meeting another vehicle at night with high beams, it is reasonable to assume that if one of the 2 vehicles is meeting, they are likely wanting you to dim as well... not blast them until the last moment.

    39) Related to 38, meeting another vehicle at night and both are on dim, however JUST BEFORE passing each other, it is not wise to flip back over to high beam resulting in blinding the other driver.

You know. Instead of saying "relating to xx" you can just make it like this:

    38. I find it annoying when driver that .....
38a. When these drivers do that, it creates problems for other drivers that can cause accidents!

    just a thought.

40a. Trucks (consumer trucks that is) that have installed 20 additional lights because they think they're going to go offroading at night.
