It's the scourge of games publishers everywhere - and under a great deal of legal pressure - but The Pirate Bay refuses to go quietly.

In a brazen move, the world's most popular torrent site is plotting to have its representatives elected to the Swedish Parliament - which would give it immunity to Copyright law.

The site's ISP provider and ally, the Pirate Party, plans to put forward prospective MPs in the Swedish election on September 19.

The organisation calls the move 'practical way to get a short respite from the copyright industry's legal barrage'.

I read a similar article about this, and I absolutely support the Pirate Party! It's one of those "if you can't beat them, join them" plans. I mean, it's the place where you can legally be crooked, feel entitled, and thinks you're above the law.
