It's good to see, reno, that you've applied the same amount of critical thinking towards your posting as you have your CPU purchases.

I didn't read all the posts in this thread... Sorry, I'm at work and I really don't have the time. The only conclusion one can draw is that AMD users have something to prove.

You know, like cops, do they become cops because they are stupid, or do they become stupid because they are cops?
Did you always have this compulsion to prove yourselves, or is it only since you use AMD?

Can someone make a poll out of this, what if the latter is true...

    fdsgsd

He's just mad because someone took the big, pulsating dick out of his ass...and replaced it with an even bigger one.

And geez, haven't you seen his webpage lately? An entire manifesto of the Athlon! Loser.

    Re: fdsgsd

this is a dumb acid thread...

    intel:

fastest stock AND overclocked speeds available for regular end users (if you say not, ill slap you in the face)

    AMD:

bang for your buck if you want to build a slow pc.... i have no idea what the hell AMD is trying to go on par with intels prices... but certainly they will lose my fan support if they keep that up...

sorry if i missed anything on this thread... didn't bother to read like... 25 pages worth of arguments that's repetitive..:dead: :dead: :dead:

that is why intel are still having tops... as for speed... intel is easing their way up... im sure right now they can bust out 3.6+ ghz with their p4... that's why they always wait for AMD to bust out their fastest chip first then but out a chip thats "slightly" faster to take the domination

Yes someelse that has a half a brain. AMD doesn't have hyper-threading on the clawhammer neither so there (thats just stoopid)

hyperthreading is nothing to rave about (makes cpu kinda act like a dual but not really... just splitting the cpu power around)... but ill ask you a question...

if you have infinite money... which super duper system would you buy?

    AMD based? or Intel based?

the thing is... intel's technology "is" a little better than AMD's by no doubt.... intel's fastest available cpu IS indeed faster than AMD's

all we're arguing about here are the prices...

money= the source of all problems... (kinda)

if intel's prices went down... all the people would side upon intel... but this is not the case...

You guys could say, "AMD is a poor boy's comp." because literally, that is true.

But us hardcore players, men, of power and money we use intel because they are the fastest CPUs!!! mwahahahahah!!!! (just joking)
(just trying to see if i can get the intel side winning again)

edit: btw... im sure the kelsen dude was just joking about the hyperthreading thing... that if some kid said intel has hyperthreading and AMD does not is not a valid argument for intel... because "that's just stoopid"

well, intel definetly isn't as efficient as JavaFox has already stated at the beginning of the thread.

    dfg

Hmm...not efficient enough to run at 3.06Ghz....

And hyperthreading is great, if for some reason you listen to Mp3s while benchmarking (?). It does have it's advantages, in some respects, and games WILL use it someday... who the hell knows! Who the hell REALLY cares right now! ARGH!
