And not related (still new hardware though) but just picked up my new phone, technically it arrived 7 days ago but UPS bounced since no one was there to sign so basically had to go and get it, I love it! :D

I just finished setting it up (transferring all the files from the old phone and all that jazz, as well as installing all the apps I will use). Now to login to all of them lol.

That is the part I hate when transferring stuff , login, passwords.... but only once you are done. Enjoy the new phone!

Yeah I'm pretty much 90% done now, I've logged into almost all the apps I use regularly, synced it with my Google speaker and my credit cards. So done like dinner.

I really was loathing transferring stuff, which is why I basically went for a cable transfer over a wireless one which takes forever this time and the reason I took so long to get the phone from the UPS office in the first place is because I was loathing doing the whole transfer! :D

    Don't worry, you'll soon be rocking a S20 FE 5G. ;)

(yes it's ready to pick up whenever you like)

The S21 FE 5G is so much faster and snappier than my old one, it does things almost instantaneously.... :D

Yeah, PCs been down, Judas fixed it up, it's working again, yay.

Edit: Ok, I've calmed down, everything is fine, I'm over being depressed and I got through the major backlog of work on the back end of the site. Aaaaaand life goes on. :D

THANK YOU @Judas WHERE EVER YOU ARE, YOU ARE A GEM!!!!! (yes I actually hugged the shit out of him today once he got my PC running lol)

Firstly I plugged the CPU fan into the wrong header so it wouldn't boot. Secondly for some reason W11 wouldn't install with the 3080 in the board, we had to swap out to the 2080 and install Windows, we stress tested a tiny bit, but @Judas says I should keep an eye on this card in case.

the CPU fan situation i honestly don't think it should have kept it from booting.. there was another fan plugged in, it just wasn't PWM which i've never seen it prevent it from booting. The Real clue was the fact that the RGB ram was not RGBing, and i felt the need to double check connections by unplugging and plugging everything in again before resorting to full removal, thus full insertion of the memory was i think the primary cause of the 0D error (no boot/post at all).

the 3080 situation still doesn't sit well with me though at all.

I played Forza Horizon 5 today for a couple hours on the highest settings with HDR and Ray Tracing enabled, no problems, will continue to monitor the situation.

Headers... my favorite, lol, lol. This is always the hardest part for me, trying to read instruction and all and so far did not miss but it is not straightforward for me.

That is so weird that GPU would not let install Windows. You got W11, right?

Were you able to put the 3080 in after getting W-11 working?

Yes, we were able to. She seems to be working properly, I've gamed a fair bit, no problems so far (knock on wood).

still waiting on the memory as the first kit of white Ballistix i ordered ended up failing to post without doing exclusively cold boots. which is weird as most faults happen with cold boots and require a soft reset.

Confirmed the problem with another identical set of ballistix memory being problem free and even pairing the modules resulted in only a no boot with the new ones.

Currently just a 970 evo Plus 500gb paired with 32gb (2x16gb) Ballistix 3600mhz running at 3600mhz CL16, a Coolermaster V2 V650 watt Gold PSU, stuffed into TD500 mech coolermaster case. All the rest is Calliers old board, cpu and heatsink and 2080 GPU hooked up to his old display.

Yes, I am certain they will be happy, I mean just look at that thing! :D

Also @Tipstaff and @Judas and @IvanV, look how tiny this thing is (that is a nano sim next to it, not a micro one, for reference, they most likely could have made it smaller, but then it wouldn't be functional, when you use it the whole thing disappears into the USB slot, except for the handle):
