    According to a leaked memo, Time-Warner Cable will be trialling a new billing system with tier-based bandwidth caps, called "Consumption Based Billing." The trial will be rolled out in the Beaumont, TX area sometime in Q1.

    that's insane considering the size of game demos and such today unless the cap is a terabyte a week :p

    Yet another reason not to go back to TWC. I left them two years ago for Directv and Dsl from At&t. Was a great idea.

    This isn't necessarily a bad idea for most people, if they charge amounts so that the average (mean) user pays the same amount as they currently do, most people will benefit from lower prices, assuming everyone keeps using the same amounts of bandwidth.
