Ever felt the need to run three operating systems separately on your MacBook Pro? I scoured the internet in search of a good, straightforward guide to accomplishing the task. Unhappy with what I found, I decided to write up a straightforward guide for anyone else daring enough to do the same.

You would need to be a serious geek if you need to run 3 different OS's lol.

Really think it is unneeded, but i guess some people may like it.

I remember the days when my Powerbook G3 had OS9, OSX, Yellow Dog Linux , and Windows 98 (Emulated in os9 thanks to Connectix VirtualPC) .. all crammed into the 6 gig hard drive. I'm trying hard to remember exactly why in the hell I did that, but I did!

I've been busy o'clocking, but have 200G of unpartitioned space on the 640G drive, with Ubuntu and Virtual PC 2007 right in front of me - I swear it's coming - but not on the MacBook Pro.

That is awesome OldBuzzard, but what the heck do you use them all for - or is it just because you can (the geekiest reason of all...)?

One for XP 32 bit applications. Has a few applications that won't run on 64 bit and/or Vista.

One for Flight sims. Il2, FSX. Vista 64 Bit

One for Shooters HL2 & such. XP 64 bit

One for "The War Department"* XP 32 bit

On XP 64 bit for general surfing, not used much lately since I went to Vista.

One Vista 64 Ultimate. My main surfing & etc., system.

    One Vista ultimate 32 bit.

One partition with no OS at the present time. Can be used to clone any of the other systems to for testing.

I use HyperOS to manage all of those. It helps to keep each install fairly 'clean' and not bogged down with a lot of applicatioins. Plus I can back up (rar) each OS on a seperate HDD in case I bork one and need to restore it. Works a lot better than restore points, and uses less HDD space.

HyperOs Systems Pretty slick application. Check it out.
