    Thomas, how is your SONAR guide going? Any progress?
    Quite a few repeating SONAR Qs lately on our forum.

    LeMury, did you think about pan control for every patch?

    Yes, however, adding a pan per channel would increase DSP resource usage significantly.

    Please everyone, read:
    Over time, I've recieved many good proposals/requests to add stuff to MX6.
    I'm willing to spend time to implement these request.
    However, please realize that every single addition's DSP usage is multiplied
    by 2 x num_of_ stereo channels..!
    MX6 is actualy a (6x2 + 2x2)= 16 channel mixer at least. Not even counting the 2x12 sends!

    mx6_v114: code/regs = 80/61
    xrouting: code/regs = 42/62

    So it's not that easy to find the 'one and only' right mixer topology
    that suits everyone's needs and still leaves enough room for other DSP effects.
    So basicly, DSP resource usage is the limiting factor here!

    Related solutions are welcome:cool: .

    Yes LeMury I saw that one post where a user wants to learn how to bounce MIDI to audio using kX. I dont know how to do this using the default kX DSP, but using your plugins makes it so much more understandable.

    I can give no exact date when the guide I'm working on will be finished, but I'd say 2 weeks or less.

    Very good work LeMury! :) Thank you very much. Just one thing: is the record level pre or post fader? Did you think about make it pre fader so you get a main record level and monitor volumes?

    Nando,
    Currently Record level (and everything else) is post fader.

    If I would make it pre fader then either a channel is *on* the Rec Bus or *off* the Rec Bus.
    That would mean that you can not make a real 'Record Mix'.
    Is that what you want?
    If not, the consequense is the addition of one Rec Slider per channel extra!

    What I could do is the following;

    Basicly mx6 is a 4-Bus stereo mixer.
    -Main Bus
    -Rec Bus
    -Send 1 Bus
    -Send 2 Bus

    What if I'd made another 3-Bus version but without designating the busses!
    Like this;
    -BUS1
    -BUS2
    -BUS3

    Then Per Channel there would be;
    -----------------------------------
    -Bus1 level (pre) + Mute switch
    -Bus2 level (pre) + Mute switch
    -Bus3 level (pre) + Mute switch
    -1 Vu meter + a 3-way Radio Switch to select Vu source

    In the Master Section;
    -----------------------------------
    -Bus1 Vu meter
    -Bus2 Vu meter
    -Bus3 Vu meter
    -Bus1 Master level
    -Bus2 Master level
    -Bus3 Master level
    -----------------------------------

    This way all channel levels are independant and user
    can designate the busses anyway he likes.

    Can you decrease size of the mixer(height and widht)? it's too big...

    What about BUSes... I realy need third.

    What about full scalable to save more resources? I mean inputs number selection and their character (mono/stereo).

    is it possible to have a selection in the control pannel where the driver would ask you how many ins and outs you need on the mixer? this would allow for maximum resource saving...

    Yes that would be nice and I'm already investigating possible ways to write 'user configurable plugins'.
    However, although theoreticly possible, it is simply to much work to realize such features atm.
