Okay, first off if this is in the wrong spot, my apoligies, also be advised I am a total noob with these drivers.

That said, I have a SB0220 which I am in desperate need of working, the only sounds I get at all are the windows boot/close sounds I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get sound in vent/itunes/ANYTHING so I would greatly appreciate ANY help you folks have to offer.

Did you see how FRONT and REAR outputs are swapped by default?

One of my cards is the SB0220 and I had a similar problem, I was able to get it working with the KX mixer speaker setup.... default was set to 5.1 and no sound. I reset it to 2.1 with center off (stereo) and it was fine. That's why I suggested it.

Also running XP sp3 as well

Assuming you have a working mic plugged in the back of the kX soundcard in the 'MIC' plug.

Make sure kX Wave 0/1 is the recording device in Vent....

    In kX Mixer...
    AC97 Page:
Set RECORDING SOURCE drop down to 'MIC'
    RECORDING Page:
    Adjust and un-mute AC97 level.

If you want to hear the mic (most people do not)...
Adjust ac97 level on INS & OUTS page.

    oops -
The drop down on AC97 page is 'AC97 Source' - not 'recording source' I said before.

Sorry. Hopefully you figured out its the only drop down on the AC97 page anyway.

For other people to be able to hear you, make sure that the AC97 Recording level slider on the Recording page of kxmixer is unmuted and volume is set to 0 dB (and that the Master Recording level is at 100%).

If you do not want to hear yourself, than mute the AC97 In slider on the Ins and Outs page of kxmixer.

If you still have trouble, take a look at the following guide:
    MD6 - KX Mic Setup(default DSP config)
