I think the games we start seeing after UT 2007 will finally begin to hit the life-like graphics companies keep trying to boast.
Like the "HL3 screenshot", I wish I saw that guy when he was taking that pic.... running down the street with a crowbar
unreal engine 3 is going to start a whole new wave of "single minded computers" much like doom3 did with everyone buying that "doom machine"...except, HOPEFULLY, UT2007 will be worthwhile
Gamespot's preview: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/unrealtournament2007/preview_6123872.html?q=1&tag=gs_hp_flashtop_bg It's going to be on next generation consoles as well as PC.
Cool looking images hay will UT07 have SM 2.0 and SM 3.0 support and realtime reflections in most serfaces inclueding water, cars, glass ect.
It still looks "cartoonish" to me...but UT games have always looked like that, it's just the style they use.
looks good, but i hope the animations and physics are up to snuff, thats what does it for me. Anyone heard anything about the physics in the unreal engine?
