With all of the great artwork being posted here, I've been inspired to try to make an effort to post up some of mine. I used to draw/paint/sketch daily, but haven't done much lately. Most of my artwork is gone, bought and paid for by whoever paid me to make whatever sign, painting, or drawing they wanted me to do at the time. I worked as a "sign guy" or "company artist" at a large retail company for a few years and pretty much all of the things I did for them are history too.. I've never been that great at keeping records, or making copies of my artwork- But I still have some of the things I did in highschool, or just when I decided to sit down and do something over the years. This one is something I did last year for a local church who wanted a hand drawn "Uncle Sam" sign for one of their church functions. It's about 3 feet high by 2 feet wide, so scanning wasn't an option. I just did the best I could with a 2mega-pixel digital camera. It's #2 pencil on the shiny side of a piece of poster board (don't ask), but it turned out pretty good. Hopefully someday I can get a picture of it to show more detail.
