Thanks for sharing. That sounds interesting. I know I like to harp on and on about The Wheel of Time, but there are plans to adapt it into a series of movies or into a TV series and I can't wait.
I used to read some and I love books, real ones with paper etc. There is one problem though, few minutes into the reading I get so sleepy that I simply have to stop..... I do not know how to remedy that. I did manage to read recently "The Right Stuff' by Tom Wolfe.
I tend to go to bed early enough that I'll have enough steam to get through a couple chapters before I need to actually get to sleep, works for me.
I'm currently reading the Light Novel of Classroom of the Elite and it keeps interesting as the story goes.
I have not read books in a very long time.. sort of have a short concentration span. I'm reading the 'girl with a dragon tattoo' stumbled on the 3 book series at a 2nd has booked shop. I have watched the movie (both the English and the Swedish). I like the Swedish one better. . I will update you guys when I am done.
Just finished novelisation of the Killing Joke and Steven Baxters The massacre of Mankind Nothing new at hand so starting a reread of my Pratchett collection
Just finished reading it. The girl with a dragon tattoo.. not a bad book, (sex, rape.). . perhaps tomorrow once I do the chores ( I have been reading it all day, so house is a mess). Will start on the second book
As I have said I am going very slowly on the second book of The Lightbringer series reading only a chapter or two every week, because I didn't like it when The Wheel of Time ended and I felt sad I wasn't in that universe anymore, so basically I'll let you all know when I start on book 3.
A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson. It's entertaining and it's very informative, and explains concepts ranging from Quantum Mechanics to botany.
I just ended reading Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. The story is described so realistically that it seems to you that you are also now in Australia and watching the events. Every story of the main characters touches the soul and you are sincerely worried about them. It is an engaging story filled with murder and mystery. The idea is very interesting. On the first page you will find out that the murder happened. But throughout the story, you have no idea who is the victim. At the same time, the genre cannot be called a detective story. A fascinating book about relationships.
You can laugh all you want ... I love reading but I am not reading recently as as soon as I start I am sleepy. What to do about it? No idea.
Finally on book 3, been taking it slow, but the story is so good now I'm going to woosh through the remaining books.
When I was a kid I liked the Roald Dahl novels as well Enid Blytons Famous Five. As I got older I got into Terry Pratchett's Discworld series though I find they are a diminishing returns series - if you have read one you have pretty much read them all. I also greaty enjoyed Douglas Adams. Harry Harrisons' Stainless Steel Rat novels are a solid recommendation from me.
Nice one, will check some of those out. Roald Dahl was excellent for me as a kid, the Nancy Drew novels as well as opposed to what most of the other boys read - the Hardy Boys series, and then the Goosebumps series by R.L. Stine, read them even before I started watching the show, utterly beautiful. I really intend to check out A Song of Ice and Fire, everyone has been telling me to check that series out for eons.
