Yeah my last blood test found that my blood is very low in protein and iron and I was advised by my doctor to eat more meat, especially red. Funny thing is though I enjoy vegetables more than I enjoy meat. Which I think is a good thing? Not to say that I'm not going to take his advice lol. :p ;)

I had cheese chicken fingers and some mashed potato. Finished it off with a banana smoothie.

I really need to remember to take pics before I eat.

Jamaican styled fried chicken, Jamaican styled home made coleslaw (1/2 creamy, 1/2 vinaigrette), and rice with peas (kidney beans). Yumm... making me hungry again.

I actually had this meal two nights in a row this week! Usually I can't get to Taco Mac except on my days off due to our store being open so late. But, I was off on Thursday, then was allowed to leave early Friday night.

This is their Hickory BBQ Flatbread w/Chicken. And, I get their Sweet Potato Fries with some Honey Mustard dip.

OH, and, last night I got some dessert, too. Cheesecake with Strawberries.

I know the feeling as last year I had my first KFC in like 6 or so years. There is only one KFC where I live and it is very far from where I live, outside of city limits, near the airport. Takes like half an hour with a taxi to get there! Not cheap.
I since had it like 3-4 times but I have to admit, as much as I like the special crusty sauce or whatever it is called, the actual meat does not taste as good as in some other places around here.

We have 3 in about a 4 mile area so its easy to get to but after going up to over 20 stone a few years ago I had a health check at the doctors and realised its Diet or possibly Die so I stopped all the fast food ... managed to lose 7 stone and now once a month I have a weekend off healthy eating and just pig out this month was KFC day next month is Pasta and Garlic bread :)

Funny thing is I was a Chef for nearly 20 years and while I did that I manged to keep myself at a health 12stone it was only after I quit that and started working in a call centre that I piled the weight on

Having worked at a call centre (years ago), it can get quite depressing.

I'll be having eye surgery on Tuesday morning. So, after midnight, Monday, I can have no food or water until after the surgery. I'll have to repeat this in two weeks. Having cataracts removed. Hopefully, be able to be rid of glasses once and for all, too!

After my cataract surgery this morning, my mom, step-dad, and I stopped by Cracker Barrel for breakfast. This is what I had. Sorry to use their AD pic but I didn't get one of my own. The only difference, though, is that I got my eggs over easy. I also added coffee and a large Orange Juice.

    100% beef. Delicious.
The fries weren't the best, but they were good enough.
This should keep me ok for most of the day. I am not sure if I am going to get anything else today. I have 2 bananas I might eat late if I am hungry.

Substituting meals for fruit is always a good idea, I have recently started doing that, I ate nothing but a piece of banana cake and two bananas yesterday for lunch and that was a tasty meal in and of itself.

Not much left by the time I remembered to take a photo, but at least I remembered to take a photo while there was still something left. :)
    Lentils with garlic, vinegar, etc.
