    No pic, but I had some nice moussaka that certain somebody and I made over the weekend. It was a welcome change from what I usually eat at work. :)

    I met at Captain D's with my mom and stepdad. I always get the Deluxe Seafood Platter. Comes with 2 fish fillets, 5 butterfly shrimp, 2 stuffed crabs, 2 hush puppies, and two sides of your choice. I opted for the French fries and Steamed Broccoli. Washed down with Diet Coke.

    Sounds like a lot of food!

    I'm trying to not be a peasant and expand my horizons beyond pork and potatoes, but I'm constantly out of luck with sea food, I never seem to order the right thing.

    One word: Calamari! There's this place in town here that serves the -best- seafood platter that feeds three, if you were around here I'd take you, the good thing about Saskatoon, the Paris of the Prairies is that our restaurants are second to none.

    It is all I can do to eat it at one sitting. But, I'm not good at eating leftovers...even though I take some home from time to time. I just don't enjoy the food when it's not fresh.....or freshly cooked.

    I really should have remembered to take a photo of my dinner this evening. I stopped at another of my favorite places: Folks' Kitchen. They have a $9.99 dinner menu from which you can order, Starter, Chicken, Two Sides, a Roll or Muffin, and a Dessert. A beverage is additional.

    I got:
    Starter: Onion Petals with spicy dip;
    Oven-roasted Chicken, dark meat, Thigh and Drumstick;
    Squash Casserole;
    Green Beans;
    Peach Muffin;
    and
    Banana Pudding.

    Added: Diet Coke.

    Total Cost: $11.12 + TIP.

    burrito’s.
    made with left over bolognese (made by the kid, she’s turning into really quite a decent cook so she is :) ), grilled peppers, sticky rice, salad, and of course avocado.
    delicious

    Remembered the pic this time....
    Late Brunch at IHOP....
    Eggs Over Easy, Hashbrowns lightly cooked with Cheddar Cheese and Onions, Sausage Links, Strawberry and Cream Crepes, and Coffee.

    Later in the day, my baby sister, brother, and their spouses and I went to a new Ice Cream place I had never been to....actually didn't know it existed. They use fresh ingredients to mix your choice of flavors and add-ins, and then freeze it with nitrogen in front of you. I ordered the Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Bananas and Strawberries added-in. It was delicious!

    @Dyre Straits Man Dyre, you sure know how to treat yourself. :)

    I usually skip out on dessert due to having diabetes though.

    I don't consider the Strawberries and Crepes a dessert. That's a SIDE dish. :)
