I love beet roots, so good.
I'm no fan of plain beets. But, the pickled beets, I can eat with no problem. My fraternal grandmother used to make her own. Those were the best ever. Nothing else has ever come close. But, these were good enough.
not fussed by beets either
but I eat absolutely everything that’s put on my plate, so if the missus serves them up I’ll eat them.
not bothering with pics, it’s the weekend, I’m having the same as every weekend; pork mince, loads of veg, bit of rice.
tasty beer day
I had some mutton stew with green peas
Pics or it didn't happen.
don’t think I’ve eaten mutton since we kept & slaughtered our own sheep
very long time ago
Mutton is really really good. My landlord's wife says she wouldn't ever eat any meat that wasn't chicken or beef lol. Goat is even better though, ain't nothing like good goat stew, or a good goat meat curry. There's this Indian place in town that is one of the few places you can get goat meat, me and my best friend and his mum go there from time to time, just for the goat.
you just can’t buy mutton any more
lamb sure, but not mutton. asked my local butcher a couple years back, nobody wants it, so naturally they don’t bother.
would probably taste much too ‘real’ for modern palates
While lamb is fairly popular and good lamb is considered a delicacy, mutton isn't that popular here either. Goat is rare and is also consumed young (pretty tasty when it's done right too).
My parents own a big farm where they keep chickens, goats and rabbits, as well as grow various crops.
When I was younger we always had different types of meats and vegetables from the farm. I really miss my mum's food. I also got to try out a lot of different foods when I used to travel a lot. It was a riot too. We would also have game meat from time to time (ostrich, various types of antelope, etc.)
Here mutton is readily available, horse and game meat is also available. Moose, deer, elk, etc.
I heard that camel was really good.
ostrich is delicious btw
edit: wait, do I mean ostrich? ah crap, I have some in the freezer might have to go check, I may be getting muddled. think I mean ostrich..
Sweet & Sour Chicken.
Lasagne With Veg..
Chilli Beef Con Carne & Rice..
I add cheese to it, let it melt (a couple of min in the mw) and mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
That sounds good, What Cheese ?
May try that out next time..
Greek cheeses. Kaseri, Kefalograviera.
If they are not available, laughing cow.
If not, mature cheddar.
Spread out all over the dish.
DAMN IT. Now I want some and I have none.
