I love those little cars, I had a VW POLO that ran great, or rather I had two of them. I drove one without oil until the engine siezed. the other I drove for over a year without any trouble. I loved the way it handled. The Spanish version is still a VW right? Here are my old beaters on the farm. I preferred to drive this in Germany. But I drove this in the UK the most. but this was my baby for awhile and the chap that bought it put her away from me when I return again.
It's a VW Lupo with a Seat badge, grill and steering wheel. In ever other way it's totally identical to the VW. I'm not sure if they're even assembled in a Seat factory. Both the VW and Seat versions were sold in the UK at the same time... the brands are just aimed at different customers I think. I'd rather a steam traction engine though
awesome... the steam tractor was quite a thrill and the chap that actually owns and drives and maintains it is from Cambridge I think. It was a joy to take pictures and ride on the pondering old machine. It hearkens back to another time doesnt it.
Indeed. I love the way you can see the workings of big old machines too... makes them somehow more impressive, and of course the sheer size and weight

I have an 06 Saturn ION 3 QC 2.4L with some basic mod's I did, lowered on some performance springs and a nice ecm and tranny tune I know it's plastic, but I love it After having it lowered and adding a strut tower bar she handles pretty awesome as well. Great fun to drive. Eventually I am going to redo the exhaust, change out the header and do some other things. Might put a turbo in her eventually. Fun times
Yeah, before this I had the 2.2L and it's nowhere near as good as the 2.4L. It's great for future modding, the forged internals can take allot of power with minimal/no modification to the engine itself which is quite helpful. Mainly just need to swap the headers and the rest is pretty easy. There was this company that took an ion and a cobalt and did a dual charger system had it up to around 440-480whp, pretty insane for a little car like that.
well after seeing all those nice cars....... I drive A 2 series... ie I walk everywhere.. i used to drive a Fiat Uno but that was borrowed and i had to give it back, then i drove my brother's care around for a while until he took it back and now i am back to walking and public transport... Sigh...
I've got the 2.4L in my HHR, with a GMPP intake and a Trifecta tune soon to come (I'll do the tune in the spring when the weather cooperates) Car hauls without the tune to be honest..... I'd do the supercharger if I had the cash......
Thats who I got my tune through, dude does a great job, since mines an auto the tranny tune they do made the car feel like night and day, went from kinda ballsy to bat out of hell (clearly its not but you can totally feel the difference). Allot of the early float it has gearing before it hits the top end. Lots of fun. I dont have a perf intake as of yet, i just removed the silencer bong, made an improvement just from that, sounds better too.
I've got the auto trans also..... Looking forward to firmer shifts and a higher shift point. Should be able to chirp the tires nicely going into second.
Yeah its a nice car, get to see a lot of petrol stations in it! :rofl: Its better than me old one, it used to drink even more. I see the RS4 as being a more grown up toy. i think i'm getting old :tears:
E28 FTW! I love E28's. My uncle has a very nice 87 535i, so nice. As for me, I have a 2011 IS250 6MT: (Don't mind the ugly winter wheels/tires) I also have a 1986 Corolla GT-S with a 4A-GZE swap... but I don't actually drive it (yet)... Haha. Jeff
