Any where online that you know of that can test your firewall - like security scans etc.

I am a Norton fan, mainly because it was inexpensive and I dont have a router yet.

That's weird. Have you tried openning up the ports eMule uses? I mean ZoneAlarm works just as well as any other that has been mentioned here and you already own it. Plus you'll have to configure any firewall to work with eMule since all of them block all incoming traffic. But I do recommend Norton for its ease of use if you still want a new firewall.

ASL (Astaro Sercurity Linux) The best firewall I have owned yet and free.... well provided you have a PC to run it on.... doesn't need to be a powerfull PC. Mine is a Celeron 400.

EDIT: In all actuallity the BEST firewall to use is a hardware one and not a program on your personal PC. The tool you use for a firewall should be just that and that alone, a Firewall. The box I use with ASL is ONLY a firewall. When you install it the only thing you can put on that drive is that firewall software. And you need to know 0 about linux to run ASL. It has a web interface that makes it very nice to run. Takes a little bit to get up and running since the firewall is locked down in and out untill you open it up. Anyone who has any interest in setting up this firewall let me know and I will help you out. I have had mine running for 9 months now and I will never run anything else,,,, that is unless someone drops a Cisco PIX firewall into my lap. Then I may THINK about switching....maybe......

I use the free for personal use Kerio Personal Firewall 2.15, previously famous under the name of Tiny Personal Firewall 2.x. Neither are now openly supported anymore, and ironically replaced by two different but similarly bloated firewalls that use up a lot more resources and has extra features that very few really need. But Kerio 2.15 still works fine and should last a good while longer. Anyone interested should be able to find it at some of the various download hosting sites on the net, and if not then beep me. It's a lean, effective and no bull software firewall.

mkk is correct. This is what I use. It uses around 3MB if not less of Memory and is very configurable. I know that you can not d/l it anymore in freeware form from Kerio's website. Try a google search or try download.com. If all else fails, yell at me and I will send it to you. It is quite small and powerful.
And I use it on XP Pro and works beautifully. I did not care for the Sygate firewall at all.
