    winDVD

WinDVD 4.0 right now. I was a long time 3.0 user and just totally fell in love with it. :)

PowerDVD 4, because ATI are unable to provide a player that will play DVDs without dropping a LOT of frames on my ATI Radeon 7500.

I never had any problems with my old Rage Fury and ATI player 3.1. Best DVD playback I ever had.

Then I "upgraded" to the radeon 7500. I've tried all the ATI players up to the present one. All of them yielded horrendous playback, yet PowerDVD works fine (with or without h/w acceleration enabled). :(

Only PowerDVD cuz old version of WinDVD had to fast forward by using a right click menu that was stupid.

PowerDVD. It does everything well. And it has a certain je ne sais quoi about it that makes me like it more than WinDVD

I used to like PowerDVD, but since a couple of new DVDs came out, the I couldn't get it properly view the subtitles or even use the dvd's menu. I kinda like NVDVD now. It actually works pretty well with my ATI8500LE (now 9100). The only problem now is that the subtitles fonts are a bit blocky.

PowerDVD all the way. It has the features that I want. I just recently scored PowerDVD 4.0, that's up from the previous 2.55 version that I used. Got it with a DVDROM drive.
