which do you prefer?
WinDVD 4.0 right now. I was a long time 3.0 user and just totally fell in love with it.
Powerdvd XP 4.0
I love it because I am able to put the dvd onto my TV
Powerdvd 4.0...because same as above....
it does things the way I like
PowerDVD 4, because ATI are unable to provide a player that will play DVDs without dropping a LOT of frames on my ATI Radeon 7500.
Hmmm, my ATi player works fine on my 7200 :hmm:
I never had any problems with my old Rage Fury and ATI player 3.1. Best DVD playback I ever had.
Then I "upgraded" to the radeon 7500. I've tried all the ATI players up to the present one. All of them yielded horrendous playback, yet PowerDVD works fine (with or without h/w acceleration enabled).
PowerDVD but isn't it basically the same as WinDVD? they sure look familar, what's the difference?
Only PowerDVD cuz old version of WinDVD had to fast forward by using a right click menu that was stupid.
PowerDVD. It does everything well. And it has a certain je ne sais quoi about it that makes me like it more than WinDVD
I used to like PowerDVD, but since a couple of new DVDs came out, the I couldn't get it properly view the subtitles or even use the dvd's menu. I kinda like NVDVD now. It actually works pretty well with my ATI8500LE (now 9100). The only problem now is that the subtitles fonts are a bit blocky.
PowerDVD all the way. It has the features that I want. I just recently scored PowerDVD 4.0, that's up from the previous 2.55 version that I used. Got it with a DVDROM drive.
