For the 15th or so time, I watched last night (Halloween and all) In the Mouth of Madness, by John Carpenter.
Sam Neil at his finest, a short but solid performance by Charlton Heston. One of my favorite, psychological mostly, horror film. It still makes me feel a bit uneasy after all these years. Love it.

I avoided watching it before as the trailers since release made the movie look a bit meh.
Still, when I caught it last night on TV, I decided to watch at least from about the middle onwards, the movie Bandidas.
While it didn't perhaps excel in anything, it was really good. It's a comedy western and it has plenty of both.
One of those feel good movies. I definitely recommend it to fans of comedies and/or westerns. Also, some fantastic shots of what I assume is parts of Mexico. Also perhaps the only western I have ever watched which has a scene of bdsm in it.

My son, daughter-in-law, and I went to see the latest Terminator movie at the theater in IMAX. An "almost never-ending action" movie. Simply because, even though half-way through the movie I needed a restroom break, I never left my seat. (And, yes, I was able to hold it, but very, very relieved [pun intended] when the movie was over. :)

First time I watched it I had no idea what it was about. Pleasantly surprised to find one of the most intense action movies of the last 20 years.

Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, on Bluray.
What a fun fun fun horror comedy!
    Fantastic production, including sfx.
If you haven't seen it and you like movies with zombies and/or comedies, watch it.

I watched The Lion King (2019 remake) which was done very well, I liked what they did with it. Enjoyed it just as much as the original.

Also watched Toy Story 4, great movie, almost didn't want it to end.

Watched maleficent mistress of evil today... outside of a few issues near the end that aren't arguably that big of a deal but still annoying... i liked it just as much as the first one.... such good movies.

Detective Pikachu. As someone who never had any attraction to the whole pokemon thing, this was a fun movie. The ending "battle" was shockingly inspired by an older movie, but I won't spoil it here.
    Worth watching.

yes Detective pikachu was an enjoyable and rather well animated movie. I have basically zero experience with the pokemon stuff and frankly don't care... i did plow through a lot of the animated content quite recently due to having ran out of things to watch on amazon prime and netflix. Absolutely don't see the attraction of the show personally....

but the movie was certainly quite enjoyable.

Judas, give Kengan Ashura and Baki the Grappler a watch if it is still on Netflix, they're both great animated shows (even if you're not into anime). Especially if you're into fighting.

Got on the Disney+ bandwagon on launch day. I watched an episode of The Mandalorian and several Pixar shorts. While they're not "movies" it's notable for me to mention because I rarely watch anything on TV.

Really? Then check out One Punch Man. Season 2 of One Punch Man is out too.

Yeah The Mandalorian is really great, I watched it as well. Very very well done, and as soon as I watched it I went and bought a bunch of speeders on the Galactic Trade Network on Star Wars The Old Republic as I previously only liked creature mounts, but The Mandalorian made me like mechanical speeders as well now. Now I have around 45 mounts in game, some of which were really really expensive.

If you're into super heroes then you could check out Titans on Netflix, season 2 is out but not on Netflix just yet, season 1 is really good though, I really enjoyed what I saw.

Also they just added God Eater to Netflix if you haven't seen it yet.

I watched the cloverfield paradox last night.
Unlike most people who rated the film, I enjoyed it, a lot.
I didn't like it as much as 10 Cloverfield Lane, but I did more than Cloverfield.

Yeah The Cloverfield Paradox was a decent thriller, go watch Love Death & Robots, there is a cool episode in there which is part thriller part horror which reminds me of the moviei.

Saw Ad Astra the other night, Brad Pitt completely knocked it out of the park. I highly recommend this movie if you're into space sci fi flicks.

I thought about getting it, but I am not exactly the biggest fan of Brad Pitt so I refrained from doing so.
