If you like the film I would recommend the TV series it expands on the film a lot and I actually found it better TBH I didnt think I would like it but it caught me from episode 1

This weekend we watched our first Xmas movie an animated film called Klaus that tells the story of how Father Christmas first began delivering presents, the animation isnt Pixar standard and the story is weak at times but every now and then it has a moment of pure beauty or a scene so cute you grin and go awwww ... get past the first 30 minutes and its a good film

Thanks, I found out about the show, but I don't know when I will go through it. I'm trying to watch more of my TV series (DVD/Bluray) over the last year and after that I will check other series. Near the end of season 4(of5) of the awesome Warehouse 13.

I mainly watch stuff once I'm burnt out from gaming. Just to relax and all.

I burnout all the time, I game for the entire day, wake up the next morning and repeat for weeks sometimes, then I just burn out and don't play any games for 1 or 2 days straight lol, or game very very little. I'm into another arc of gaming right now, with a different game, Forza Motorsport 7, I kind of played Forza Horizon 4 to death, in 4 days I managed to put 88+ hours into it. Right before that I put almost 30 hours into Need for Speed (2015).

I'm already at 10 hours with Forza Motorsport 7.

I finished Warehouse 13 earlier today. I cried. Great series with fantastic characters you grow to love.

As for tonight, I guess it's officially Christmas. TV.

I watched this earlier today. The 5th Wave. It was good, but not very good. Technically fine, but some logic and story holes ruined any chance for greatness. I'm glad I got it, but I wish it was better.

It's his first live action TV series and it's awesome. If someone doesn't pay attention to the details they might think it's superficial and sexist as fuck. But, once you open your eyes and ears you will see not only how progressive it was for its time (don't forget it was filmed in late 60s and broadcasted in 1970), but also how clever it is and with attention to detail.
For example the commander of the moon base is a very good woman, the commander of the interceptors is a black guy (decades before say DS9), the captain of the main submarine is a guy with roots in Asia, etc. Not something you saw often. And not "token" presence. It's refreshing without feeling "we have to do this".
The women in this show sure wear mini skirts and at least one of the guys (the pilot in the photo above) is coming on them like fly on poo, but they are not the usual bimbo representation, they are clever, funny and sure love to shoot him down lol.

As for the series, I love it. It's like watching live action UFO Enemy Unknown. (Or for the Americans out there, X-Com) from 1994. Radars, bases, interceptors, retrieval squads, etc. And I am just on episode 2!

The only negative thing is the amount of smoking that goes on. It's like a meme.

Just to clarify, this is the complete series on Bluray.

Watched We Can Be Heroes on Netflix, 10/10, best feel good movie I have seen in a looong while, very very highly recommended if you like feel good family movies and super hero movies. A lot of things in the movie didn't make sense but the theme of the movie more than made up for it, if by the end of the movie your heart isn't warm and moved then you're just not human.

A couple of days ago I watched Downsizing on TV.
I am glad I never read a single review of it.
It appears most of them completely missed the point.
It's not about the "sci-fi", it's not about ecology.
I believe you need to be of certain age and certain experience in life to get it.
A shame as it was a really good movie.

Matt Damon film ...I seem to recall really enjoying it even though the trailer made it look more of a comedy
