If thats the one about the guy that claims to be immortal then Its an Epic film, the sequel not so much though.
There was and its Ok but lacks the impact of the first ... The end of the second actually sets up a third part https://www.imdb.com/title/tt5770864/
I watched Skylines, 9/10, the props may have made it look like a b-movie but it was well acted so lots of fun. Highly recommended if you like your sci-fi action with a healthy dose of aliens.
One of my all time favorite sci-fi movies. To the very end. I like it so much I haven't watched the sequel yet because I found the ending perfect.
Just finished watching Need for Speed (2014) on TV. WOW! What a fun movie! Obviously not a realistic movie, but compared to the Fast Furious movies, a live documentary. I fell in love with the characters, the setting, the cars, everything. Easily 9/10
Yeah I thought it was excellent too. Watched Yes Day the other day, very much like Yes Man if you've seen that but kind of repackaged into a family movie, if you've got kids this one is for you. 8/10.
I think outside of...what was it called...Captain Marvel, I haven't watched a new super hero movie since Iron Man 2. Or 3? The one with the racing car and the whips.
I forgot to mention, a couple of nights ago I watched Cowboy and Aliens or something. Not the first time, but the first time I slept through most of it IIRC. Anyway, the movie was still not that good, but better than the first time. 3/5. Barely. The major positive parts for me were the native American working for Ford, and Ford's character's son. Asshole yes, but well played asshole.
Mission to Mars was on TV last night. I was watching it like it was the first time as I couldn't remember a thing about it. Good movie, not great, which story wise got weaker in the last part (say 30 min) and down the hill in the last 30 seconds (like they said "let's make sure the last few seconds look shit and feel like we were on a very tight schedule!" Otherwise, enjoyable movie. 3/5, barely. The George Clooney's Solaris was also on TV, right after MtM, which I remembered a bit better. I only watched like 30 mind or so cause I was very tired. Well, I don't remember the story that much, but at least I could remember seeing it before. Vibes of Event Horizon, though not as cool.
I’ve just watched the movie Ready Player One and I can recommend it. I really liked the special effects and graphics.
The Dark Tower was on TV tonight. I have never read the books or know anything about the lore. The movie was fun to watch and just screamed "make me into a game". I will consider getting at least one of the books.
The 2018 Death Wish was on TV last night. I didn't plan on watching it, but I have a soft spot for Elisabeth Shue so I kept watching and after a while I couldn't stop. In ways similar to the original Death Wish movies. Though I have to admit as much as I adore Bruce Willis , he just isn't as good of an actor as Charles Bronson was. That is of course personal opinion. Anyway, the movie was good, plenty of action, far less sexual assault than the original. Which is a shame as it definitely increased the support for the main character in the original. The supporting cast was good, perhaps a bit too good. Whenever Vincent D'Onofrio, or Dean Norris and Kimberly Elise were on screen, they just stole the show. Kimberly Elise who I can't believe was 50 when this was filmed. She looked in her 30s, if that. Gorgeous woman. If I have one negative thing to say about the movie is the bad guys. Not that they were not portrayed well enough, but as characters they were a bit too shallow. Overall a fun movie, well worth watching if you like vigilante movies. 8/10 stars if you do. 7/10 if you don't.
I watched Netflix's Thunderforce, if you like super hero movies and action movies, it is quite the trip. Enjoyable to say the least, and yes, it does continue the "empower women" trend. It wasn't bad however, 4/5.
Thats IM 2, there have been a few crackers since but if you want something a little different then I would recommend Vin Diesels Bloodshot and Charlize Therons The Old Guard
