Watched Tower Heist, an older Ben Stiller movie, very very good, funny, lots of twists and very exciting. Wouldn't exactly call it an action movie, but it does have some elements of action. 8/10. No not talking about the 1971 Shaft, was talking about the 2019 one with Samuel L. Jackson. LOL. Unless you're just poking fun at me.
Nope they are all sequels the 2000 one is a follow up from the 70's TV show with a guest Spot from Richard Rowntree and SLJ as his nephew the 2019 one is a sequel to that introducing SLJ son none of the stories are connected in any way but the characters are the same ones in all films
Watched Wonder Woman 1984, pretty darn good movie, if you like the Marvel films and action movies, it will be up your alley. 8/10.
I haven't watched so many movies in such a short time in years. TV. Vengeance A Love Story. With Nicolas Cage . It's about a crime, rape/assault against a young woman (30 or there abouts) and her daughter (around 12). Nicolas Case (police detective) gets invested in it and as with all vigilante movies...he does what he does. The thing is, this is such a weird slow movie that it just doesn't feel like the usual bloodbaths we see in vigilante movies. There is a huge amount of time spent on the victims and how they are handling it. While I like Cage, and he did a good job here, this isn't really a Cage movie. This is mostly about the victims. Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of violence though that too is closer perhaps to realism than usually. Satisfying though it is, this movie is not Death Wish (1976) or even Taxi Driver (1976). So if one wants to have a quick release of adrenaline, this isn't it. The action scenes are short and brutal. So, about 5% action for 95% drama. And usually I am not into that type of movies, but my oh my the acting is good! Seriously really good. From the kid, to Don Johnson, everyone is just really really really good. Fantastic acting. I definitely recommend it. 8/10
Seriously??? It was an Awful Awful movie, I thought it was a real step backwards for DC after Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Shazam. I love these characters but I will never watch this again
I haven't seen any Wonder Woman movie yet, but the main villain in the 1984 one, who I presume is that blond guy, looks remarkably like the ex husband of a friend of mine. MAJOR asshole.
Cheetara from Thundercats or the wannabe Trump, The first was underused the second was over the top ...I thought it was the worst of all the DC movies so far and thats saying a lot . I mean its this bad
The Trump dude, I liked that he wasn't really a bad guy, the reason he became bad was because he wanted his son to be proud of him even though he lost it along the way.
I wasn't planning on watching a movie tonight, but at the last moment I found the 2018 The Predator was on TV so I couldn't say no to it, having never watched it before. Before I continue, about my look on the previous movies. Predator 1, loved it. Predator 2, liked it. AvP 1, lol. AvP 2, I don't remember a thing about it. Predators, I liked it. Now, this film, The Predator 2018. I liked it. I was worried when I read a couple of sentences of the story before the movie started. The second I read a child was going to be one of the characters I was disappointed. My thought was that it's going to be a PG movie or something. Thankfully I was wrong. There is no lack of violence, swearing, action and overall adult themes in the movie. Even in front of the kid. The violence in particular was brutal, absolutely disgusting and even over the top at times. No complaints. The story was fun, as realistic as one could expect and long enough to not feel too short. Two things were a bit iffy, but they are minor so I don't mind that much. The first was the woman character who unless I am missing something, had nothing to explain the things that she could do. If she was a soldier or something, sure, but a biologist? The second was one of the scenes on top of a spaceship which made me feel like it jumped the shark. Anyway, good movie, worth watching and probably I will eventually get it on bluray. 8/10
The Bone Collector. Last night on TV. I remember watching it when it was first released, though I don't remember how. Last night I couldn't remember any details so it was almost like a new movie to me. A good movie, surpassed by technology and 1.5 mil CSI shows. Good acting and all, great cinematography, especially outside shots. A young Angelina Jolie looking....delicious. Good acting for the most part, just not to the level of... Denzel Washington is killing it, no surprise there as one of my favorite actors. Overall a good movie, an 8/10 when it was released. Now barely a 7/10. It does feel like an extended CSI episode.
Tomorrowland (2015) Good fun movie. Directed perhaps a bit more to the younger audience, but I still enjoyed it.
