    The Last Samurai.

Over the years I've grown to love this film.

I like the time period very much. Mid to late 19th century was a very interesting time.
The film was very good. Too bad it didn't last 30 min longer.

    Ex Machina

A young programmer gets the job of determining if an AI created by the founder and head of a huge Google-like IT company is in fact a true AI.

IMO one should never even mention there are twists. The whole point of having twists is to not expect them in the first place. If you know they are coming, it takes away from the movie experience.

I'll keep that in mind in the future, remark redacted.

Was watching X-Men Apocalypse last night but it's too long so I decided that I'll watch the other half this weekend.

    Howard the Duck on Blu-Ray.
I am still in love with this film after all these years.
I don't care how many "worst of" awards it got. They know nothing. This movie is awesome.
Plus you get a young Lea Thompson in very sexy outfits.
AND one of the best bad guys ever.

    Sicario.

Finally got a chance to sit down and watch this. Good movie. If anyone is into films like Green Day, Traffic, Narc, the more recent Miami Vice, or The Kingdom.. films that have a similar type or way of story telling, along with good mix of action, then you'll like Sicario.

Monsters (2010) One of the worse drivel I have watched in a long long time.
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1470827/
They should rename the film to Beyond Boring.
I can't believe this film has over 6 in IMDb rating.
If the disc this is on didn't also have another film, I would destroy the disc.

BloodRayne is still the raining champion of crapdom, imo. I have yet to see another film that even comes close. Not even Catwoman, Ishtar, or Battlefield: Earth can touch it.

At least Bloodrayne has some unnecessary nudity. Watch Monsters. I dare you.

watched 2 Guns last night, purely cos it happened to be on the telly box & I was bored.

absolute fluff & nonsense, but actually a perfectly enjoyable enough way to kill a couple of hours.
wouldn't go out of my way for it, but I've sure as hell seen a lot worse

    Oblivion with Tom Cruise.
Surprisingly good. I expected something very light, it wasn't.

I had the same reaction when I first got it. Same with Edge of Tomorrow.

If I posted what I watched here it would rival the random spam thread :D

I will how ever tell you to check out "he never died" on Netflix if you have not seen it. starts out so/so but gets good. Just a semi recent watch that stuck with me. Is amazing Netflix suggests movies that I probably never would of checked out but turn out pretty good.

I'd already seen it before but I watched Deadpool on Bluray few nights ago (because the Ultra 4K disc didn't work on my Xbone, will get a 2.0 cable and see if I can get it working that way otherwise I'm at the mercy of LG to release another update that fixes 4K playback with my Xbone S and TV seeing as it did play 4K Blurays before no problem). I just love Deadpool, funny as hell. It is a movie that I'm going to enjoy for years to come, and I can see myself laughing at the same stuff over and over again hehe.
