I recently saw The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf on Netflix, good movie, 7/10.
I've heard people liken this to the female John Wick but really it's closer to an old movie called Darkman starring Liam Neeson. It's darkly comic and violent and stars Kate Beckinsale. Who is as gorgeous as ever - not gorgeous for a 50yr old... just gorgeous.
She plays a woman with severe rage issues which she satisfies using extreme violence against anyone who crosses her. Wanting to get back into the social world she uses an novel electro-shock therapy system to curb her anger.
It's a medium budget movie with some nice action and scenery and for me anything with Kate in it is worth a watch.
Yeah, I really enjoyed this one too.
For the budget, it was quite good.
the wither, cruella
I can't remember if it was the first time, but the other night I watched Red 2. Fun movie, light and unbelievable. Worth watching with a great cast. I am not saying it's a great movie.
Finished Cruella, what a wonderful movie it turned out to be! 9/10.
Wonder Woman is on TV tomorrow, I plan on watching it for the first time. So, yeah.
the first one is good...
the second presents and interesting premise ..but the visuals and some of the choices made make utterly no sense for the character.
really ...i have to agree with the Pitch Meeting guys take on the film
Pretty decent film one of the best that New DC have done to date
Spot on the second has soooo many "What" moments and the CGI is a step back from the first
OK, finished watching the first Wonder Woman movie for the first time.
I liked it. Not sure why she was called Diana though since everyone else of her eh family had the original Greek names, she should have been called Artemis.
ANYWAY, it doesn't change how good the movie was. Very fun to watch, time well spent.
Also yes hard not to have a crush on her too.
She is hot yes.
Watched Marvels Shang Chi today at the local fleapit, Pretty good film tbh but it didnt actually feel like it belonged in the Marvel universe
Mission Impossible Fallout, Mary Poppins Returns, Contraband, are on TV tonight, with the latter two at the same time.
Are they worth watching?
Fallout is a great MI film well worth the time.
I watched a movie called Malignant which turned out to be pretty interesting. It'sa medium budget thriller / horror with some nice twists along the way. Not knowing anyting about it I watched the opening scenes and thought it was going to be some Area51 themed affair. Pretty much a cast of unknowns apart from the lead Annabelle Wallis who has been in a few bigger movies - she was the co-star of The Mummy with Tom Cruise.
It was fun. I missed the first 3 min, but I don't think I missed much. Anyway, good fun movie though I think they jumped the shark in the last few minutes.
Extra points for the beautiful blue/grey eyed women and for having Superman as a guest star. (he stole the show IMO)
I watched The Forever Purge, seen twice now, once with a group of friends, and once with my best friend, gonna see it again today with a good friend of mine, it is a smashing movie and I would consider it social commentary on the state of America today, must see (despite all the violence in it). 9/10.
That fight in the bathroom is a great scene Cavill should be the nexy Bond
I hope so. I can't stand Craig in the role. Not in general, I like him in other movies.
I watched Free Guy, what a movie, 9/10.
