Just got back from a good night out with friends, some of us decided to go see The Girl On the Train after our supper at Fuddruckers, and all I can say is it is one great thriller, highly recommended.

Grown Ups 2. It was on TV. I don't remember watching the first one.
It was a feel good comedy. Not the best comedy ever, but it was good enough. It had me laughing out loud a few times.

    Blazing Saddles.

I've been watching one of Gene Wilder's movie a week since he passed away. Watched this one today. Still as funny as the first time I saw it.

My kids know me well. :)

They got me the DVD of this a few years ago for my Christmas/Birthday. (Since my birthday IS Christmas, it's hard to distinguish which gift is which. ;) )

They also got me "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World."

And, for a different year, they got me a collection of Don Knotts' movies. :)

Saw the new Independence day last night. What a load of crap that was. It honestly has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

This doesn't give me confidence for Emmerich's reboot of Stargate if he spews out stuff like this.

It was on TV, I just finished watching Edge of Tomorrow.
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1631867/

    WHAT AN AMAZING MOVIE!
I knew nothing about it, and if you haven't seen it, don't read anything about the story, just watch it knowing it is a sci-fi film.
For the first time ever as soon as the movie was over I went to imdb to rate it and gave it a perfect 10. I tend to keep 10s for masterpieces I have watched several times.
I am actually laughing as I type this.
    What a ride!

I had that thing on Blu Ray for half a year, and never watched it. It was worth the wait though as the whole family enjoyed it.

For me, something that dawned on me part way through the film was how much the story reminded me of the Japanese manga "All You Need is Kill" which came out around the same time as EoT. Watching the movie prompted me to read up on the story, and it wasn't until I looked up the Wiki page that I found out both this movie and the manga were adapted from the novel (aka. light novel) of the same name. Although, the movie does take a bit of liberty with the story (I want to say what, but if you intend to read the book then this is all I'll say as I won't spoil it for you, just that it is worth reading).

Ah yes, Edge of Tomorrow, I remember watching that movie. I too thought it was very good, although perfect 10 no; maybe an 8 or 9 out of 10 for me.

    Stir Crazy.

"Yes, I'm a short son of a b*tch. My daddy was a short son of a b*tch. My mother was even shorter than him. And my brother, my brother was so short we couldn't even see him."

I watched the latest Ghost Busters 2016 yesterday night and I rather enjoyed it. I found it funny and thought it was rather engrossing, as opposed to what people were saying of it being a bad movie. I think most people didn't like it because it was a cast of female ghost busters rather than male ones.

I also watched Independence Day Resurgence and I also enjoyed that title. I have to say, it was a really fun ride. If you enjoy the tie fighter and x wing fighter fight scenes in the Star Wars movies, you will like Independence Day Resurgence.

Because you liked the movie, all of those who didn't like it are sexists? Yeah. I can see that.

Watched Star Trek Beyond just now, very good movie, highly recommended.

No I don't mean they're sexist, just that they would have preferred the reboot to stick more closely to the original Ghostbusters movie, and casting is one aspect that this new Ghostbusters movie was different on.

Then you have probably missed the point. Most people who have a problem with the film is not because the ghostbusters are women. Anyway, I have talked about this (elsewhere too) way too much to start it again.
    Believe as you wish.

it's called sausage party.... the bleep out a ton of stuff for the trailers...... anyone that takes their kid to the movie needs to stop breathing our air... bad enough that i saw parents with their 6 and 8 year olds in the deadpool theaters.... a few of which later complained about the blood and swearing/sex in the movie.
