errrrrrrrrrr i have 2 17'' monitors now and they piss me off. I want "need" at least 2 19'' monitors. ..... MG
I had a 17" flat screen trinitron monitor, and it was great. I recently got a regular 19" CRT, and I have to say that I like it more for gaming. 17" was better for watching dvd's etc...
I use a 17, but I have been looking around for cheap 19" that are decent. When I get the money I *might* buy a 19".
Drive..look for one of those refurbished black Dell Trinitron monitors. You can usually get them under $200.00.
Nah, I have no NEED to get one. It's something I want, but it is not something I am going to try to find right now. I don't need it now.
prefer 17" posters.... we've got three votes that say the "prefer" 17". Could any of you that voted that way post and tell us why? or is it that you use 17" because thats what you have???
Had this 19" for awhile and love it, but considering moving up to 21" or maybe higher, but i reckon i will stick with crt monitors for now.
highwayman, don't you think 21" would be too big at like less than a meter away?? unless you're set up so you can put a bit of distance between you and the monitor....
My father used a 21" at work... back like 2 years ago. I remember it. Curved on the picture tube. And he sat no more than 3 feet away from it. That waaaas huge. The dot pitch was horrile, but still.
HAHAHHA, actually, it doesn't. Small girls get hurt bad.... OOPS! I shouldn't have said that. Damn, I've turned into Kelly Bundy (married with children), I'm thinking outloud again.
Since I can only use 1280x1024 at the most with my current equipment, a 17" monitor is totally sufficient for me. Should I ever get a AMD 3000+ (or better) and a Radeon 9800 Pro (or better) and thus can run *current* games in 1600x1200, I can get myself a 19" for that. There's absolutely no need for a 21" one since for the 2048x1536 resolution, you'd probably need an AMD 4000+ with a Radeon 10500 Pro or the likes...
but would a 1000 inch screen be better then 21 i think not youd have to position your self out of your own room and breck down the wall at your room to make the screen fit and youd have no place for the computer it self lesson learned so bigger isnt always better
