Yea, I'm not happy about the verizon bloatware either. When I have the time to root my phone I will. Once rooted, I'll get an uninstall app program as well to get rid of some of the bloatware on my LG phone.

Sorry I never got back to you on this.

I opted for the standard edition that was available from the store. The phone is discounted with the 2-year contract.

The extended battery I bought from online and it's doing a nice job. As long as I can get through my work schedule without it going dead, I'm good. And, I do, also, have a car charger if/when that's needed.

Since making the switch, I'm much less frustrated with the service. I say that instead of "much happier" because it's still not perfect but the service is more dependable for what I need it to do.

Lovely phone, feels great in the hand. Battery life isn't quite as good as some other though so that's worth keeping in mind.

gotcha. Is there any way you can keep a phone charger in your work space at your work for those "Just in case" moments?

There actually has been a phone charger plugged in at work. But, as I'm in my car more than I'm inside, the car charger is a better option for those times when it's needed. That way, I don't have to leave my phone where others can "tamper" with it. KWIM? :)

    Lumia 900 by Nokia.

It would be nice to see more Windows Phone support in general. Don't get me wrong, there aren't many Apps yet, but most of the popular apps are there in some form or another (perhaps under a different name).

The voice recognition is useful for making short cuts to call people, etc, but it sucks for taking messages like texts. Siri is way ahead in that regard. I'd love to be able to send a whole text just by voice, as phone keyboards (hardware AND software ones) are so FIDDLY!

Still the Windows phone 7.5 OS has come a long way and it's nice that Microsoft are listening to people and making excellent changes with all the updates. Hopefully Windows 8 will make a killer platform fit to challenge Apple and Android.

Not a fan of apple because it seems to me that everyone and their dog has one where I live. It's like some sort of fashion statement and most people I know don't seem aware that competition actually exists. Plus as a lover of music I find the Apple bundled earphones an affront!!

Tell me about it, and when I say that I not only mean that in regard to you saying everyone has an iPhone these days, but also what you said about the earphones that they supply with their iPods and iPhones. And people use them religiously refusing to change to a better after market pair once they've purchased an iPod or iPhone. Just so people will "know" that they're using an Apple product, it's absolutely ludicrous!

Just switched from a Galaxy Nexus to the Galaxy S3. I use a 9930 for work.
