You're welcome Playing games for 3 decades now.
You're much older than I thought you were then
yeah I know, people tend to think I am far younger, mostly due to my attitude and lack of p.c. skills.
My first PC video game was Quake III Arena. It was my favorite game for about 1,5-2 years. After that I discovered the Counter Strike 1.3 or 1.4 and 1.6. Counter Strike was and is my favorite game by now
Technically, my first PC game... was sticky bear.
But emotionally, it was lemmings.
I had the Journey Man Project, the first photo realistic game ever made. I remember being wowed by the graphics in that game, if you compare it to the gaming scene now, you shake your head in wonder at how far we have come since then.
I thought you were about my age actually, so between 27 - 32 ish. Based on what you're saying, I'm under the impression now that you're at least 35 - 40.
He's 36.
still in the "35 - 40" age category!
if i remember, it is VCOP 2
AW: What Was Your First-ever PC Video Game?
Star Trek: Voyager Elite Force (Ego Shooter in Star Trek universe, based on a
modified Quake 3 engine) running under Windows 95. Still have a functioning Windows 95 B computer in my room. Graphics is a bit detail lossy compared to nowaday games, but story is catching.
When i bought my first printer Canon BJC-2000 in the year 2000, there was a 14-Level OEM-Version of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation in the box, remember this was also one of my first video games.
What, they used to bundle games with printers?! :wtf: Nowadays you need to buy a higher end model to get the cables! :annoyed:
SimCity on my Mom's custom-built machine that had Windows 3 on it, though I don't think I can really count that. I was more engrossed with Nintendo at the time.
So probably Warcraft: Orcs & Humans. Ran that on a 75 mhz Macintosh Performa (PowerPC!) Videos didn't run well but the game ran as long as you didn't have too many units produced.
Man, do I remember how things went down hill fast whenever there were "too many units" on the screen! And, no, not with W:O&H, either!
I recall how things went down to 2-4 FPS in the first FarCry on the PC I was using at the time. There was one especially affected area when you would drive a jeep up over a hill and hordes of Trigens would leap over the walls and come after you.
I think mine was on NHL 95 on PC Back then I had p2 350 with 10gigs storage with 128megs ram and TNT 16meg video cards who remember TNT video cards? lol By the way I be 37 end of the month on 29
Some how I miss this thread lol
I'm 27 but I remember DOS games like Keen and Bio Menace because I went back and played them lol.
