Which game/s should I add while things are on sale?
I don't see any Strategy games so I won't suggest any
The incredible adventures of van helsing
Sniper Elite V2
Borderlands 1 and 2
Brothers in Arms series
Ghostsbusters the video game
metro last light
red faction series
Company of Heroes 2, a real time small scale strategy game that works best at multiplayer or skirmishing against the AI. The single player campaign can also be amusing but is exceptionally poorly written from a historical standpoint. The AI is probably the best RTS AI that I've seen, and is fun both to play against and with, or in combination. I play mostly skirmish against the AI or teaming with a "low level" buddy. Online we mostly get beat even when I do well, but it's fun regardless.
I see you don't have Audiosurf, it's a seriously fun little game that lets you ride your music.
How about The Witcher 1 + 2. Great games, and I know you'll like the setting.
I really am not very good at the strategy games. I've tried so many and get so frustrated with them I never get very far.
I do have all the Crysis games and I have Witcher 1 & !!....just haven't added the non-Steam installs to the Steam list.
As much as I really, REALLY enjoyed Witcher 1 (I played that one over and over again!) the 2nd one had some very bad bugs that made playing all too frustrating. Example: When using a 360 controller, trying to play the mini-games caused huge problems because the controller would lose focus....or something along that line. The game is just NOT the compelling without being able to play the mini-games, IMHO. I did, however, succeed in finishing it on a one-through.
It seems that I tried the original Sniper Elite and was turned off by something in it. Is V2 much better?
A few of the games suggested we have for the 360...Example: Borderlands series.
Appreciate the responses so far.
Sniper Elite V2 is much better, it is a modern game. The original Sniper Elite always felt very rough to me.
I have an unfinished Let's Play of Sniper Elite V2 if you want to have a look at the game play.
Skip the first half of the first video since it is mostly tutorial.
Mission 4 is probably the best example of what the game has to offer.
Another game I would like to add is Thunder Wolves. I played the demo on the PS3 and found it amazing for what it is (third person shooter with a helicopter) and even bought it on Steam (only place available for the PC) but I can't make it run. If it runs on your PC you might enjoy it for the times you feel like venting some steam through gaming.
That's the only game you need.
I did get Dark Souls: Prepare to Die for $5.99.
Interesting game....trying to figure out just what the whole objective is other than just running around with no real clear objective.
If an open world game is of interest, this one allows you to go just about anywhere you want whether you're leveled up enough to go there or not.
So, yes, Prepare to Die is quite appropriate.
Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is tremendous fun, and (genuinely) Euro Truck Sim 2 is one of the bestest games ever
