I got this link off of an pretty cool /. story this morning called "Google results downgraded?". It seems Google's latest update kills googlebombing (go read the articles, I love the word!) but seems to have affected a whole bunch of other page rankings as well.

Google is the best there is IMHO, if something is wrong I'm sure they'll fix it, but it sure is a smart idea to keep an eye on how the tech behind the engine works from time to time if'n you're going to rely on it. One thing I like about Google is how well watched/documented it is by the geek community, makes it easier for shmucks like me to understand what's going on. :)

EDITED BITS: Oh, a bit of a more mainstream story of it on wired.com.

They took out the best feature by searching for "go to hell" and ending up at Microsoft.com --- well I guess dell.com will have to do! "dude I got a hell computer" is what takes its place.
