I use Firefox 1.0, had used it at 0.4-1.0 which is my current bowser...Mozilla since 1.6 or so whenever the pheonix, firebird, then firefox was not working like I wanted it to...but 1.0 has changed all that. I have yet to use Mozilla since ff1 has hit my systems.

I use Mozilla, because it has the options I want, and feels more mature and solid to me than Firefox.

Actually I think the memory footprints are about the same . . .

I did some rudimentary testing: loaded the same pages as tabs in both browsers, in the same order and everything. Memory usages were pretty much the same.

I keep all the major browsers installed and updated, and use them enough to know what they can and can't do. My current favorite is Opera, of which I'm currently using the 7.60 preview 4 edition.

firefox 1.0 with a small army of extensions ;)

I'd use opera if it was mroe standardized...but each release appears to be written by a different group of people and have a compeltely unrelated bug-fix list :(

What in opera would you like to be standardized? Also to the people beta testing opera 7.6 (thanks!) does the bug still exist where you need to go back twice in order to get the last page on driverheaven? I made a post about it about a month ago: http://www.driverheaven.net/showthread.php?t=59399

I dunno...it just always seems that opera isn't compatible across different versions, and that a site may work in oen edition, and not the next or the previous

I don't really know what to say to that because I've had a different experience. Just make sure that you try out opera again when they have new releases (7.6 is coming soon). I try out firefox for a day whenever they make an official release and if it's ever to the point where I feel it's better for me than opera I'll switch.

I can't stand firefox. 1/2 the time i have to click refresh to be able to type and thing in the post boxes. And i hate how it goes to the top of the page when you click back 1/2 the time. I am still on my quest to find a good browser. So far i've used IE, firefox, mozilla, Maxathon, Opera, Netscape and a few others. So far Netscape seems to be the one i like the most (dont like its download manager though).

    3x,xxx K for 80+ tabs (pages)
and about 2,xxx K when minimizing.
too many pages, just to see how's the Firefox doing with the memory..

IE6 because I can't get past the annoyances of FF yet. Maybe I am just picky, no one else seems to mind them but they piss me off and make my blood pressure rise.. IE6 is smooth and doesn't need 45 plug-ins to make it work with full functionality..

I like the Ad blocking in FF but really it is more of a pain chasing around ads and clicking it away- only to have to do it 10 more times.

I can block ad companies in my Router SPI Firewall if I want. Tab browsing isn't my thing, I just turn it off-

The Favorites menu handling in FF is lame and I think the browser was designed around a 1 button mouse.

I will suffer with IE6 until someone makes a plugin that is a combo of all the plug-ins and then makes sure that plug-in gets updated the same time as the next version of FF is out (every month?)..

    Then I'd switch

i only use one extension for Firefox, and 2 for the Mozilla Suite.
i don't use the native popup blocker of any browsers, nor the browsers ability to block ads, banners and images.

FireFox 1.0 is my primary browser.

IE6 SP2 is only used for Window's Update.

Long ago, I used to use Netscape to upload to my webspace. Firefox has since taken over that function.

Never bothered to try any others.
