Hey guys.. I'm thinking of removing the stock HSF on my Sapphire 7500 and re-attaching
it with some AS3.. but i'm wondering, will it make much of a difference?

I'm trying to up my 7500 as much as it can (because i'll be with it for a long while
    before I actually upgrade).. Right now, I'm running @ 320/220.. anymore than 320, i
get artifacts.. anymore than 220 for the memory, i start getting errors as time goes
    by..

Also, I'll be cutting up some old heat-sinks to use for my ram.. will it help in any way?

    thanks.

    The short answer:

    Yes, probably a little bit.

If you want some better results, buy a better HSF for the core and use the AS3. ;)

Which HSF would be good to use, best bang-for-your-buck?

I've read that the Thermaltake Crystal Orb is the best bank for your buck. I have a BlueOrb on my GF2Pro and I def. like it. The only downside is that you lose a PCI slot with the Orbs.

I would suggest the Vantec IceBerg copper cooler...
You even get a couple of extra copper coolers to replace the motherboard north, and south bridges with...

    Re:

That entire setup is only 15 bucks, and then you can even put a shiny copper heatsink on the northbridge, the southbridge, and your video card. 3 Heatsinks for $15, that makes each heatsink about 5 bucks... I don't think that is too expensive at all.

Im using the orb with homemade heat sinks for the ram it help make it more stable. But your not going to see that high of difference in the games or benchmarks. But it does look good too!!

Is it a 7500 Retail? Cause on Retail 7500's the mem comes at 230MHz, just curious.
