Lol, pretty much.
But shirking your duties is not looked at kindly round these parts.
This unproffesional level of control and method of determination gets my thumbs up...
And no.. that wasn't sarcasm...
neither was that...
Seriously... i'm being totally honest...
Thanks Judas, sometimes you just have to sit back and chill and let the trip take you where it'll take you, ya know what I mean?
Haven't you ever tried weed Judas? You don't need to answer that.
And good Lord I sure hope they legalize the stuff up here in Canada so at least people stop going to jail for smoking or possessing it and we can enjoy it freely. I really don't think it kills brain cells, tbh I think the reason they banned it to begin with is because so many people would start getting cured miraculously that big pharma would lose too much money and come to a grinding halt.
you don't think this is a bit off-topic?
Well, people don't seem interested in entering the competition sooooo.....
I kid I kid, yes maybe it was just a tad off topic, let's return to our regular viewing then hehe.
Yeee haaa now I can enter
Ok honesty first, I have never been a big console fanboy because I always found it hard to play with a joystick and much easier with a mouse and keyboard but lately my PC is really showing its age (haven't upgraded since I built it donkey years ago) and gaming has taken a back seat because I don't have the funds to upgrade my PC, am paying for my university loan , got married last year and I recently moved to a village outside of the capital where there is "NO" internet (surfing HH from work). So I think this would be a great opportunity to get back into gaming and a new PS4 would definitely help me get back into the groove of things. That's my not so sob story for why I want to win this PS 4
All the best to the rest
I think I am going to relieve IvanV and Ty of their positions as judges as this is starting to look like it will be very hard to choose a winner. And I thought this was gonna be easy.
Edit: or maybe not. To keep me from being biased they have to be there.
All bribe offers are to be PMed.
Gaming has played a substantial part of my life over the years.
My main interest when I was in primary school was playing the Megadrive, most notably of which were the Sonic games. It didn't take up all of my spare time but it was a sizeable chunk and emphasised my interest in playing computer games, which carried on through high school, going on to the Saturn and Dreamcast and, for portable consoles, the Gameboy, Gameboy Colour and GBA. Due to a lack of dedicated SEGA console I then went on to the Gamecube for a non-portable console.
The Megadrive wasn't my first introduction to gaming but it was the first console that I personally owned. The first computer game that I played, to my recollection, was on the Commodore 64 (though I don't recall the name) and later the Amiga 500, where I played the likes of Mean Arenas, Zool and a few more odds and sods.
Things got a bit more meaningful to me in later years when I started gaming properly on the PC. Command & Conquer Red Alert, a bit of Tomb Raider 2 and a couple of others took my attention when I wasn't pre-occupied with the Dreamcast, starting my foray into PC gaming. Gaming had become my primary pass-time, even to the extent of watching TV less frequently (and boy, did I enjoy TCC, Cartoon Network and, when it came around, Toonami).
So, in a nutshell, gaming was a notable aspect of my life.
In my first job I met one of my best friends when we got to talking about playing Command and Conquer games. He invited me along to a LAN gaming centre (well, it was a PC shop that happened to also have PCs for LAN gaming) where we got more acquainted. He introduced me to another one of his friends, who also frequently gamed with him (for my convenience, I'll refer to him as Y) and we also got to become friends with a couple of the best gamers there (though one of which we've lost contact with, through not fault of ours). A while later for his birthday, Y invited a load of people that he knew along to a meal. One of the attendees got to talking with one of my friends and I and, over time, we got to know each other a lot better to the extent that she's now my fiancée (yep, in a way, gaming got me and my fiancée together). Y, much later, also added another companion to our group, who games with us often.
The friend that I met in my first job started hosting gaming nights on frequent occasion, which is still going to this day (though it did refine to a schedule of two days a week). So, yeah, gaming helped me start friendships with a group of true friends and has helped maintain that friendship over the many years. We've had our ups and downs but it's a solid friendship throughout. Sadly, due to tough times, that friend that started it all had considered the darkest option to him (crikey, did that ever surprise me) but has expressed that his friends are the one thing keeping him going.
For me, personally, gaming now has three important aspects remaining, other than gaming with friends. The first is general enjoyment (well, they are games). The second is a form of stress-relief; If I've had a tough time at work (I have more than my fair share of those) then playing games do help me out substantially. The last reason is a bit more difficult to explain. Basically, I haven't found my "calling", as it were; I don't specialise in one aspect of computers, despite my career in IT. Gaming gives me the satisfaction of taking that worry away from me until I find what I'd like to specialise in. In retrospect, maybe it should have been game development.
TL;DR - Gaming has brought me together with my friends and my fiancée and it keeps me going.
the answer the the question that i didn't have to answer is "never"
So, in other words you are just bumping the tread... Everybody already knows you never tried weed.
why would anyone assume that?
You mean where I say that bit that gaming is bad, extremely bad. It's treacherous, addictive, sleep depraving, fattening (from not moving around as much as I should) and makes my girlfriend complain.
Do I have to mention that I I'm bad to the bone?
My condolences on making a poor choice...
Just want to let everyone know that the competition ends on the 10th of January.
The winner will be announced soon after. I have also put all the details of the competition in the first post of this thread.
Come on Judas, loosen up a bit!
that's about as loose as i can "up"
Separate names with a comma.
