Hey guys! I want to set my control panel to 5.1 but my console to 2.1 so all games output 5.1 sound but X-Fi CMSS3D mixes is down to stereo with positional effects. Right now every time I change either control panel or console setting, the other one gets overridden automatically. I dont like that. Also, how to get the "shiny" console like this? All I have is that little boring white and green box on Win7. It looks ugly and it seems to miss some options, like EQ and other settings. http://www.ask.asia.creative.com/wwimages/audio_int/xfi/xfi_gamemode_eq.jpg
Thank you. What exactly does this setting do? What does it "noShow"? HKEY_local machine? I was there but I can not find any "speaker selection". Looks like this: http://i56.tinypic.com/s1mgyr.gif
Huh, I see, a registry value has been created now. Now reboot? What is going to happen? What will be the change?
Hm, the control panel and the console are still linked, when I switch to 2.1 in console it goes to stereo in control panel, although its supposed to stay at 5.1 in control panel. dammit. I have to go to bed, will check tomorrow again, see you!
No I did not, what is it? I am currently using the beta5 version of the drivers you posted. Working great so far btw. What is tha suite and where can I get it?
I will be releasing new pax master suite once the drivers are ready good enough http://dl.technewshw.com/drivers/PAX/PAX MASTER Suite V1.70.7z PAX PCI XFI Win7 Driver V1.30Beta6.7z This driver could final let me know how this goes it sounds freaking awesome. Did you notice how quickly windows loads now hehe?
Is it still possible to unlink the X-fi settings from Windows 7 with the latest PAX? HKLM\SOFTWARE\WOW6432NODE\Creative Tech\Speaker Selection Does not exist.
Îòâåò: [Win7 x64] X-Fi - How to unlink Console from Control Panel? Why not to set 5.1 speakers in Control Panel and uncheck missing speakers (e.g. rear and center) instead?
I want to have windows set to 5.1 so that Games will output that but X-fi panel use CMS3D in 2.1 just like the thread starter.
Îòâåò: [Win7 x64] X-Fi - How to unlink Console from Control Panel? that: was workaround for the issue. Game will see 5.1 speakers, but windows will see that you have only 2.1 speakers and send sound only to existing speakers
