    Hello, is there any feature in the ATI driver like Nvidia has to make windows minimize/maximize faster?

    No, the right thing to do is to turn off that stupid Windows animation in the system settings (performance - visiual effects). :)

    might also be a tweak to adjust the speed (a windows registry one, unrelated to gfx drivers)

    & on a related note, steam causes massive 2d slowdown when exited, a switch to the welcome screen & back fixes it though...

    Yep.

    Right click 'My Computer'
    'Properties'
    'Advanced'
    Performance 'Settings'
    'Adjust for best performance'

    There's one registry key I know of that's worth changing..

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]
    "MenuShowDelay"="0"

    Can't remember the default value for this but I always set it to "0" as i don't know about anyone else but I don't want any delays added by the OS! Not sure if it affects the max/min on windows but it certainly affects the start menu and others.

    Not noticed the Steam issue myself but I'll keep an eye out for it.
