Windows XP ACPI Tweak Guide..

    Interesting tweak guide.

    I was left with the impression that I should leave ACPI on....

    yep, me too.. but i just cant find the exact words(likes one you just wrote)..
    i thought since there'r many game player around here so may be they'll try it then come up with their results..
    so i'll get something more from there then.

    Oh I tried that years ago. With kit that wasn't really ACPI compliant at the time, my rig was faster. However, my current rig works 100% with ACPI and after turning it off it really did go slower. I don't have any numbers for you, but it was certainly noticeable. So I'm ACPI all the way now :)

    i had the same feeling of !!!warning, leave me alone!!! and since i don't quake, i should be alright, right?

    enable acpi and disable pnp os and you're all set with no probs :cool:. no need to disable acpi etc :)
