AW: World First PAX SBZR Series driver mod . The Problem is, if I run the Setup.exe then I see the Errormessage in the beginning of initialisation the installer.
Well remember I don't own this card. So it guesing game up to you people tell me where it is extra...
in my case the standard high definition audio driver from win 8 prevent me to install pax driver. you might wanna try to manually installed the driver only from pax driver first which is in the "PAX SBZR Series 2013 V1.00\Audio\program files\Creative\Sound Blaster Z-Series\Program" folder there should be "setup.exe" or manually update from device manager. then installed pax default. it work for me. but always turn on the hibernate as for precaution before installed the driver.

Hey Rob, I was in your Auzentech Prelude section, but I had to get a PCI-E card because of spacing issues with my SLI 660 Ti setup. I got the ZXR and learned something really disturbing about Core3D and it's licensing with DTS and DD 24 bit playback, it doesn't exist. The only way to get 24 bit playback from PowerDVD 13 or WinDVD Pro 11 is to use AnyDVD HD and remove the protection from the disc. This proves it is a software issue only, do you think there is anyway you can fix this? The ZXR definitely has too much bass, even with redirection enabled my Polk Audio Monitor 30s are distorting in BF3 when set to full range speakers (which they are). I plan to try out your drivers once the trial and error period is over. However if you start a fix for 24 bit playback then I would be the first to install Thanks for your hard work.
I don't think it be possible do so. That be breaking there IP I don't have tools work with anyway I only tweak them legal way
I figured it was pretty much impossible from your end and this is something Creative will have to fix. If my onboard sound can play 24bit audio from Blu-Rays then my dang $200+ ZXR should be able to... All the problem revolves around is license coding and I'm not sure why the X-Fi Titanium supports it, but the Core3D cards do not. Surely this will become more and more of an issue as more people buy the Z series and want to know why they aren't getting 24 bit sound. Thanks for your response and keep up the good work!
Rob Which are the latest driver sets for the Z series? PAX_SBZ_CD_L13_1_00_22_2013_V1.00 or PAX SBZR Series 2013 V1.00 Thanks.
So far it seems like Creative could care less about the Z Series having 24bit Blu-Ray playback support.
