Is there a download program that will resume your download and redial for you without multipule file downloads such as DAP and Gozilla. I have dap and was unaware we was'nt suppose to use this program Please excuse my newbieness. I'm guilty and sorry. I only have 3 hrs online at a time and need a program that will keep the info and redial. On 56K also. Help me out and again forgive my ignorance.
Re: odd Audigy / Sound Issue...
Yes!!! Thank god... I though I was going insane. I have the exact same problem you have: maxed main volume and bass/treble at start up, and the sound is inaudible if the max volume is set below 100%. I have also reinstalled all Audigy related software with no success. Unfortunately I am unable to uninstall SP1 1065, but I do know that SP1 1050 worked fine. Can one install an older SP1 over a newer SP1?
Unable to change key
Just did as you said.....yep, you're right!
I'm unable to enter a new XP Corp Key, not even my legit one ....
BUT...I can enter any XP Prof. key...and it works fine!
I even changed the date 3 month into the future and it
still lets me in....
So I guess, the problem is that this SP1 is NOT meant for
the corporate, but only for the prof. and home edition.
It reintroduces the activation routine and changes the way
XP verifies the Key to the Prof. Edition.
hey kodiak you could check this out and see if it something that helps you
Btw: I noticed that the SP1 does not overwrite OEM drivers,
unless you start it with the -o option.
Maybe this is the reason, why so many soundcards behave
badly? In the service Pack there is for example a nvidia miniport
driver, which is normally not overwritten.
If you want to use the -o option simply extract the contents
of the SP1 file with winzip and start the update.exe in the
update folder manually in a dosbox like "update.exe -o"
I was using the FCK key and changed it to another one to install 1065, and b4 it says my XP was activated and now it says its not and Reminder, 0 days left.
What do I do to make it say activated?
Ok........I'm not hosting 1065 on my ftp anymore. Had 50 000 hits in 24 hours and 180 users connected 24/7..........
So all you guys still trying to connect to jimjimjim.mine.nu can give it up......the file aint there anymore. I now need my bandwith for ftp #2.........which only contains Springsteen bootlegs........
Will gladly host the next leak of the service pack if anyone's interested.
Have a great week guys ;-)
::sniff sniff:: eveyone is ignoring my question...
Re: odd Audigy / Sound Issue...
I am haveing this same problem as well, does anyone know what to do short of uninstalling 1065?
XP SP Build 1068 http://www.driverheaven.net/thread.php?id=2176
For those of you having trouble with the 1065 check to see if your digital sound only button is unchecked in XP....I know i had some probs with that and my SB cards under XP
Im having bug time problems with sound blaster audigy currently since build 1060, i got few BSOD trying to install some latest drivers, i finally managed to install the default drivers but now the sound is extreamly low, any1 knows why ? Im thinking of formating and installing 1068.
the idwlog does not contain much info
ive read it
all it does is check components of SP1 and installed items from MS
i d/l 1065 from some server. then when i execute it, it said "...sp1.exe is not valid win32 application"
Whats the file size and which server?
hey crash i just didn't know about connecting to all those servers with some of the stuff thats in there but ill take your word im not a sftware guru
32mb ??? its 118 mb, you didnt finish downloading the exe. Try to resume the download.
i'll wait for 1068 now
