    "PAX PCI XFI ALL OS Driver V4.60"
    hy robert..

    i come back with old problem :duh::D i discussed with you for a few month, maybe you can remember on me.
    I have extreme music uaa (win7_64), i just installed the new driver, without any problems..but "mode switch" is gone again, have now only "entertain mode" and no "game mode" or "music creation mode".
    At that time you've given me an extra "XFHX driver" with your tweaks (V4.05) to get modeswitching back.

    Now my questions:
    Am I the only one with xtreme music uaa that cant switch modes with this driver? I saw no one except me who reported this?
    and it is definitly not my fault, i can do what i want, reinstall windows etc. nothing help.
    ---
    is mode switching no more necessary with driver? Is this driver better than XFHX driver?
    ---
    Can you unlock "mode switching" with your driver for my card, or why dont implement XFHX driver in your pack, or make XFHX pack?

    I am sorry, i only want understand.

    best regards

    Looks like "PAX PCI XFI ALL OS Driver V4.60" still has bug with ct_oal.dll on x64 OS.
    I didn't uninstall previous set and didn't use driver-cleaners, I just installed new driver set over previous one and noticed that. Both syswow64 and system32 folders contain x64 ct_oal.dll.
    I don't use openAL, so it's not critical for me

    I don't think EAX will work in games since I doubt there are some games that are fully x64 (games, that use only x64 versions of dll's). Anyway, I don't use it, and there is also workaround (manually copy it).

    How this dll is getting copied? is this some bat script/inf file, or what?

    Which ct_oal.dll (x32/x64) belongs in which folder?
    I would like to check this for me and fix it manually if neccessary.

    @Robert
    No, I would like to google for solution regarding installation of x86 and x64 files. That's why I'm asking you in which way those files are getting copied ;)

    @eSp!s0
    if you have windows x64, then copy ct_oal.dll from amd64 folder to %SystemDrive%\Windows\system32\, and copy ct_oal.dll from i386 folder to %SystemDrive%\Windows\sysWOW64\
    If your windows is x86, then copy ct_oal.dll from i386 folder to %SystemDrive%\Windows\system32\

    sysWOW64 is folder for x86 files. You can try copy x86 version of that dll and the launch ALCapsViewer32, then copy x64 version and launch ALCapsViewer32 again. You fill notice, that CT OAL dll will not be listed in ALCapsViewer32if you copied x64 version.
    However, windows x86 has no sysWOW64 folder, and stores all x86 files in system32.

    Thus, both x86 and x64 Windowses have system32 folder, however x86 Windows stores there x86 dlls,and x64 stores there x64 dlls

    Ok, I am on Windows 7 x64. But who is right, Legas or Robert? Don`t want to brake my EAX!

    Edit: ALCapsViewer shows me this:
    [IMG]

    I wanted to try to copy the dlls as you (Legas) said, but I don`t have the permissions for the folders, can`t copy in that folders. Therefor, I changed nothing so far.

    Edit2: To get the permissions for these folders is a bit tricky, so I will wait to do anything with the .dlls till you know excactly who is right and which dll belongs in which folder.

    1. run ALCapsViewer64, see if it shows ct_oal
    2. run ALCapsViewer32, see if it shows ct_oal
    if 1. -yes, and 2. - yes, then everything is fine, because both x86 and x64 apps will see ct_oal
