Dirty plugs/jacks...... or a little corrosion from the humidity we have been having.

lulz does this really help? Interesting ... How often should i do this? I just unplugged all cables yesterday, because I moved my setup to a nother location. Should I do it again, once I install the new PAX drivers?

It's not a driver issue, it doesn't "reset" anything. It's just a contact surface area thing. There's no "schedule" at which you do this either, it would depend on humidity and airborne dust where the computer is located.

If you left a plug in a jack "forever", over time the signal will degrade. Unplugging and replugging the the cord can return the signal to full strength....... No magic here.
