    wow, that does bring back memories, I recall that too, he was a forum leader and added real content. I remember he was a member of the forums well after he passed.

    I've bemoaned it elsewhere
    thing about SM is, even if you have a real popular post on FB (for example), with hundreds of replies, it still always has this feeling of being somewhat fleeting
    if nobody replies for a couple days, it slides down the timeline and disappears

    whereas on a forum, you can keep a thread going for literally years :)

    I has a sad when I see how quiet most boards are these days compared with a few years back :|

    Yea. KG. I know several old timers of here have joined the ranks over there since that's what Zardon / Allan got started over there. I for one, haven't because of time and also because, it's the same crowd of people just a different room. :p

    Forums on a whole are kind of disappearing, slowing.... and consolidating.

    I've seen a few sites merge, combine their forums and boards in order to keep the general movement of threads/posts going. With the likes of various social media outlets people can use, specially things like reddit and other stuff, forums and messages boards per site are all but a dying thing aside from the very VERY few.

    I remember that.

    I remember that when I first came to DH, there was a guy with a GIF image avatar of a green polygon skull and bones that was spinning in circles. I remember that was one reason for me signing up here. I wanted to know who it was that had that avatar. :p

    I'm pretty sure it was even this image here.
